$75.00 | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | I have the Naked front hub. Smoothest hub ever! Extremely light and strong. My whole wheel (with rimstrip, no tire or tube) weighs 576 grams. | | Weaknesses: | None | | Similar Products Used: | XTR, Xt, STX, Rolf Dolomite | | Bike Setup: | Cannondale SM900, pepperoni fork, Xtr rear with Bontrager Valiant rim, ringle seatpost, machine tech stem, hyperlite handlebars, Maxxis minotaur tires. | | Bottom Line: | If you can find them on ebay, buy them. I owned two of them but sold the turquoise one on ebay after deciding that it was just going to sit on my bookshelf as a paperweight. I kept the black one and it is definitely my best hub. Too bad the company went belly up, I really like a lot of those 90's quirky products. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I have used the Hershey Metal Matrix Monster Hubs on my cross-country racing bike and also my tandem which my girlfriend and I race. The hub on the tandem really takes a beating because of all the force put on it (no suspension). This hub has taken the abuse with flying colors! I have rarely had to true the wheel after a hard race or ride.. I recommend these to anyone.... | Overall Rating: |

I only have the front naked hub, but it is a sweet piece. The first one I had broke (can't handle radial lacing), but Hershey replaced it within a week. saved me a whole bunch of weight up front and has been really reliable. | Overall Rating: |

These hubs work pretty well. I love the front hub. This thing is beefy. It has a 19mm axle, and huge cups that cover the bearings and clamp in between the fork legs. It rolls silky smooth. The rear rolls good, has a smaller axle and looks kinda wimpy, but I haven't had any problems (no bent axles or anything). The bearings are exhibiting a less than silky smooth roll right now. I have abused them through a rainy season (7 months), and it's not rolling as nicely as when I got it. It still rolls endlessly, you can just feel it when you hold the axle in your hands and give it a spin. Overall, I like these hubs. The front is called Ti Monster and the rear is just a Ti rear hub (no special name). The rear hub is the one that isn't rolling as well as the front. I think the bearings are too small. I give 4 stars for the front, 3 for the rear. | Overall Rating: |

I am a Swiss bicycle racer and race for team Bianchi. I build custom wheels for myself and other bike teams. I do snowflakes crow's foots and other rare spoke patterns as well as traditionnel ones. My current paire of racewheels are Hershey Ti. They are light weight and durable and I am overly satisfied except for the bearings which are cheap japenese bearings that I would suggest to replace with a good set of german bearings. If it wasn't for the bearings they would get five stars. | Overall Rating: |
