Well, this hub is about the saddest bike component I've owned. It was only ridden (by my girlfriend on her beater bike) a few times to the sandwich shop, and while the bike was sitting indoors a two inch piece of the right hub flange blew off. Closer inspection of the hub revealed more cracks on the lower section of the flange. Whoever built this thing, and let it out of the machine shop, should be ashamed.
Buy it if you don't care whether your hub acutally holds the spoke elbows. ;) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

AFTER REPLACING THE INTERNAL GEAR RING, THE 4 PAWS, AND SPRING I STILL HAD A PROBLEM. ONLY AFTER REPLACING THE FLYWHEEL CAGE THAT HOLDS THE CASSETTE DID IT COME BACK TO USABLE. IT WAS A DEFECT FROM THE WORD GO. ITS BEEN A MONTH NOW AND IT IS STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM AC AGAIN. | | Bottom Line: | I have this rear hub for 4 yrs now and haven't had one problem with them yet. They are smooth and strong and very loud when free wheeling. People hear you coming. Dont get me Chris King hub is a superior hub by far, its on the front of my bike. I was unable to get a C.K. rear at the time I put my bike together. It seems AC has very poor quality control on their products. Every second person I read has had a problem with them. For people out there go Chris King, spend the money and enjoy the ride.

DBR Axis TT Titanium hardtail, 98 sid | | Bottom Line: | I've only had the hubs, front and rear, for four months, but I got them used; I think they're about a year and a half old. I weigh 185 and go fast on the rough stuff at slickrock and generate a fair amount of torque going up. I've had no problems. They seem to have very low rolling resistance. I've read reviews about the SID being flexy, but haven't noticed it on mine, it may be because of the beefy front axle. The freehub sounds like a machine gun; its kind of cool and lets you know everything's okay. Check the specs at adventurecomponents.com. I'll give it 5 for now. | | Overall Rating: |

One time I sent the broken parts in a baggy with the hub back for warrenty, and they put the same split bearing race and broken pawls back into the hub and sent it back with a reciept stating repaired under warrenty. These hubs have given me over 4 years of great service and with nary a bent axle or problem otherwise...They're cool and they're loud and they work. buy them it 's very much worth it! I have the APX front hub and I belive it is the absolute best hub I've ever ridden. It is so smooth with almost no resistance at all. I have it laced up with a Sun Cr17 rim and DT Revolution spokes. This combo is light, excellent performing, and above all affordable, the spoke/rim price more than makes up

I've had my set of Chub hubs for over a year now and I have but one negative thought on them, which isn't even the fault of AC. These beasties are stiff and give sweet rolling (I've had to brake on many a stretch so as not to slam into other riders) But after thousands of miles, my cassette body needs replacing. I have the AC Ti APX set on a pair of Mavics. Let me just say these bad boys are SCREEMIN'! They're light, tight, strong, spin forever (even after going through muddy creeks), and of course look hot on my Santa Cruz Tazmon. Flex is pretty null with the Judy suspension setup. The rear makes almost no noise spinning (opposite of a White Ind.). If I wasn't cuttin' up dust I could almost sneak up on other riders!!! | | Overall Rating: |

The AC front hub is the absolute best hub ever made, having riden most types
of hub i am firmly convinced that the hub is superior to anything on the market
Have managed to break only one since my first purchase two years ago and this
was only due to a fold in the metal structuring( a freak occurence)this
resulted in the loss of two spokes,wow major damage-not. The replacement didn't
take long so I can vouch for their warranty replacement scheme.Eagerly awaiting
the arrival of my new rear hub
All in all an awesome hub
If you dont break something, youre not riding hard enough.
