      Purchased At: came with bike
Strengths: A really nice bar, light and strong, very strong
Weaknesses: recently I have found that they flex a little but that was after I put almost all my weight on them so not really suprising
      Similar Products Tried: Club Roost
Bike Setup: Identiti Dr Jekyll, D521's hope biguns, c2 brakes (lush)
Bottom Line: This is a fantastic bar and I would recommend them to any one who is thinking of getting a new bar anytime soon

Purchased At: Jofi bike shop, singapore
Strengths: Very strong, i have knocked on to tree for several times, also just last week knocked on to the barrier at custom check point. Only suffer minot scartched.
Weaknesses: slightly heavier than easton monkey lite(carbon)
Similar Products Tried: easton monkey lite Riser bar, titec titanium straight bar.
Bike Setup: Gt zaskar race, hand made in california 01/02 model.
Deore hydraulic disc brake, combination of shimano deore to xtr. Chris king head set and marzocchi mz race fork.

Strengths: Looks, strength, extra wide so it can be cut down to the length you like, vibration dampening
Weaknesses: Heavyier than carbon fiber bars
Similar Products Tried: bontregor crow bar, Race Face Next carbon low riser
Bike Setup: 1" rise cut to 26" wide, thomson stem, racer x 100 frame
Bottom Line: I love the vibration dampening qualities of these bars and I get peace of mind bombing down a hill that I dont get using carbon fiber bars. They also have excellent sweep. No more sore wrists or hands. Weight weenies probably wont want these bars, but if you want a tuff bar that has a reasonable weight, then this bar is an excellent choice for weekend warriors.

Strengths: Strength, rise, width and sweep are perfect for me.
Thought I might have to chop the bar down when I bought it but went out for a spin and they didn't feel too wide at 28"
Weaknesses: Not found any yet and the bars still look good after lost of use
Similar Products Tried: Easton EA70 risers (very good too)
X-Lite G-Force (a bit too flat for my liking)
Bike Setup: Specialized Stumpjumper Comp, Hope Minis, Mavic/Hope wheels, XT/LX mix, Judy SL forks, Race Face bits
Bottom Line: Definitely recommended, will take the knocks and the 2" rise version I use has a great shape and feel in my opinion.
Go for a ride before getting the hacksaw out and cutting them down though, you might be converted like I was.
Slightly pricy at £45 but, worth the money when you get out on the trail.
Recommended for XC/FR for riders who want a strong comfortable riser bar.

Bottom Line: Solid feel. I have the 2.5" riser since I have back problems and need a more upright stance. This helps tremendously but I don't feel like I have lost the control of a flat bar in the technical stuff I usually ride. Very sloid product and having a 5 year warranty doesn't hurt.

Strengths: Nice and wide, double wall construction is a good idea...
Weaknesses: double wall construction doesnt work well with rigid forks, they flex quite a bit, I thought this was quite good at first as it makes riding more comfortable, but after a few months they started creaking, I thought this would lead to them snapping so sent them back to get checked, and sure enougth they had been severly weakend by all the flexing and were swapped for some single walls! Anodising comes of really easy.

Bike Setup: Trails, rigids, maguras, hope hubs, mavic, planetx zebdi, betd etc.
Bottom Line: Dissapointing, not suitable for use with rigid forks + extreme riding. Seems as though they work well with suspension mind. The single wall azonics are much more substantial and Ive had no problems, better for trials.

As i say a little bit of a pain to fit levers and stuff when cut down but i do have super long BMX grips on them. The sweep i so nice, i've tried loads of others and they are all to flat, so the next bike i buy will have a set of these on.

Purchased At: The Cycologist - Fort Collins, CO
Strengths: Great bend, comfortable riding position uphill and down, strong, sexy looking (black gloss)
Weaknesses: None that I can see, although a little wide for my taste - just takes getting used to
Similar Products Tried: A lot of Titec ti flat bars, this is my first riser....
Bike Setup: '03 Switchblade with lots of bells and whistles
Bottom Line: My first riser bar, definately can see what I've been missing. What has impressed me most thus far is just how comfortable a 2" riser can be on long climbs. With the Switchblade set at 3" in the front I still feel like I'm crouched enough to do serious climbing, even though I'm hanging on to what seem like long bat wings. Although they feel wide now, it's mainly because I have been riding incredibly short flat bars for a decade (24" max). That being said, these bars have been awesome when the downhill comes, I feel so much more confidence that I am experimenting with drops I never contemplated before. Technical riding has improved, although not so much on the technical climbs. But again, I really think this is a user issue and I will adjust to the feel of the higher rise and wider width soon enough.

If I could do it over, I would order the same bar. It's strong, light, has a great feel to it, and drastically improves technical downhill riding (as with any riser I presume). However, this is a specific review, so for $65 I give it high marks.

      Duration Product Used: 6 months
      Price Paid: $30
      Purchased At: Bought second hand
      Strengths: Width, Sweep, Comfort, Strength
      Weaknesses: None so far,
Similar Products Tried: RaceFace Air Alloy, various stock bars.
Bike Setup: Ellsworth ID, big bars, tough stem, hard wheels, Z1 MCRs.
Bottom Line: Initially I though I'd be cutting these bars down as they are very wide, but after 1 ride I was converted.

The extra control will astound you if you're replacing stock 23 - 25" risers, and the higher rise versions give a more upright position which is more suited to riding for fun than to winning XC races. The strong back sweep brings the ends ergonomically into your waiting palms. They're actually sensibly marked out too so you can line them up perfectly centrally on your stem (why this isn't standard practice on all bars I don't know).

They absorb trail chatter very well, heavier riders might find them to be slightly flexy but I can't comment, being only 140lb.

I can't fault the finish (gloss black) and the 2" rise is perfect for aggressive and technical riding, although you may find you clip a few trees if the singletrack gets really tight!

      Strengths: Good Look
      Very Wide
      Graphics are cool
      Weaknesses: Not the stiffest
      Hardness of anodizing is weak
      Similar Products Tried: about everything
Bike Setup: Echo Trials bike, where handlebar response is really important, to give me the best in handling and steering control.
Bottom Line: This bar is wide and nice. It really shines as a bar that is light, and and stiff enough for the freeride action, but NOT for trials. I ride this bar hard, with my rigid fork, its easy to see which bars peform the best, and this isnt the best. The monkeylites are WAY better than this. It bends at the riser bends whenever extreme forces are put on the bar, which is not good, but also IS good if you want crash safety. I do not recommend it for trials, but it should be nice otherwise. The anodized black finish comes off very easily and can easily be scuffed when in a wreck also.
