I'm either blissfully ignorant of some dire disaster awaiting me with these bars (there's no way I'd use light weight Al bars for more than a year or two and everything else wears out or bends) or I'm on to a winner. They are now on a fully rigid Pace and I use that hard offroad (check the pic on http://www.blacksheepmbr.co.uk/new_page_1.htm to see the trails they suffer).

Comfort of Ti (and the non-catastrophic mode of failure). | | Weaknesses: | Still nowt.The £90 price is working out about £13/year. | | Similar Products Used: | Assorted Al flatties and a trio of riser bars. | | Bike Setup: | Raleigh M-Trax titanium and 531 steel bonded frame set up for commuting (including some off road). | | Bottom Line: | The bars are still in use after 7 years (check the review somewhere below and I'm confident in them.
Why aren't they on one of my off-roaders? I finally gave in to the riser trend because their bend was more to my liking. The WTB bars are 7 degrees and the risers are about 12 degrees.
Would I buy them again? Yes, in a stronger bend, but don't tell my wife cause I still get my ears bent about the price once in a while.

So comfortable with the 24" width and 16(yes indeed) degree bend! Super strong, super light, super comfortable. Don't need bar ends with this new improved angle. Put some on my hardtail, and the mtb tandem...even my wife shelled out for them, on her hardtail! If you hold yer arms out in front of you and look at yer hands, you'll see the natural angle in yer wrists...make them happy and get this bar at yer LBS. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |

I had my WTB Ti handlebar custom bent to 13 degrees. I've used it 2 years now and love it. Everyone who rides my bike comments on how comfrtable the bars are. I tell them that it's the bend, but most remain unconvinced. Oh well. Their loss.
I rode my bike for 324 hours last year and did not experience the numb hands that I've occasionally experienced in the past with Aluminum, Titanium and steel bars that were bent at a more common 5-7 degrees.
If you decide to go with WTB bars I'd reccommend getting them bent to an ergonomically correct 12-13 degrees.

I wanted a tough, wide bar that would bend gracefully in a crash rather than snap suddenly (I may not be much to look at but I don't fancy drastic surgery by Doctor Rock). I got a 24 WTB Ti bar and it's been on my steel hardtail for 3 years now. It's still straight and I still have confidence in it's ability to hold me up no matter what I run into. The width is fine for tight, twisty, single track control and dead comfy everywhere. If you want wide bars that you can rely upon go for these. They're lighter and more fatigue resistant than cross-country riser bars and you won't need to change youe stem's rise or length. The only down side is the cost, £90 is alot for a shimmed piece of pipe and my wife still brings it up (good naturedly). | | Overall Rating: |

I bought a 22' length, 6° bent handlebar which seems to be three time lighter than the original one.Although I can feel all the vibrations generated by the off-road tyre at the asphalt, the usual pain in my wrist disappeared.But it is extremely expensive (735 FF), so I put four stars | | Overall Rating: |

W.T.B., as I found out, will custom cut and bend a Ti bar for you. I had one cut for me -- 24, 9degree
bend. After having ridden 5 degree aluminum bars for 6 years, I can say that this custom bar was one
of the best purchases I have ever made. I've been riding it now for about two months. I feel more
comfortable and controlled in singletrack and at speed. Bunnyhopping is a piece of cake. It takes the
edge off the rough stuff (I'm riding rigid right now). And the pain in my wrists and forearms I was
having after every ride with the 5 degree Al bars is no more. I can't say enough about this great product.
It was a simple solution to a painful problem. Hey, ex-BMXers, remember your old bars had a ten degree
bend? The W.T.B. bars have a lifetime warranty to boot.
May your singletrack be curvy and your aim be straight.
