Will keep the good old ControlTech around in case of failure though. 5 flaming pieces of S#!T | Overall Rating: |

These bars rule. Been using them for years without a single failure(replaced every 1-2 years, anyone who doesn't replace their bars is a f*@$#ing moron). This winter I bought an Azonic bar because it wider. Bent it in 2 months. Did the same to a Qranc bar a few years back. Control Tech has never let me down. Back to basics, no need to try anything else again. | Overall Rating: |

Okay, here's a staight and simple review. Do some shopping and the Control Tech Bar can be had for under $30 mail order. There's nothing special about it, although it is strong, light, and reliable. I don't know how Mike in Ohio crimped the ends of this bar without tightening his bar-end clamps with a hydralic press, but check out Big Rick--he's 270 and lovin' his Control Tech! I'll give it 4, not 5, flaming bacons only because it's a pretty bland bar. But aren't most straight handle bars bland? | Overall Rating: |

I despise this handle bar. I have been riding it for four months, and the ends of it crimped! I was using a plug that came with my bar ends and they crimped. This shouldn't happen. I bought a new Syncros bar that is ten times better then the Control Tech. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this bar. | Overall Rating: |

I have been riding this bar for two years and have had no problems.I have ridden in technical singltrack and weeklong tours on gravel roads. With over 4000 miles on the bar, it is still in great shape. It is lightweight, affordable and durable that is a worthy addition to any bike. The only drawback to the control tech bar is that it is a little wide. This trait is something that you adjust too, or just cut it down. I give this bar four and a half flaming things. | Overall Rating: |

Good bar, lightweight, won't slip from handlebar and the Controltech words will last for a long time. Mine was a little too long (26inches), so I sawed an inch off each side and lost some weight too. Comes in a range of colors, mine's silver - looks like a more expensive bar. Shop around, prices can go as low as $30 (Nashbar in late 1997) | Overall Rating: |

Straight forward, no none sense handle bar. I've my current one for almost two years, it looks good as new. During the same time period I have replaced both front/rear rims, new helmet and a bunch of doctor office visits. The ends of the bar seems to be thicker than Answer Hyperlite, and it only weights 150g. | Overall Rating: |
