from England Date Reviewed: May 25, 1999 | | Favoriate Trail: | Nantmawr Quarry | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Strengths: | Ridiculously strong, comfortable. | | Weaknesses: | Only available in 1.5 rise. | | Similar Products Used: | X-Lite G-Force DH | | Bike Setup: | It is on my SantaCruz Heckler with a 40mm CNC stem. | | Bottom Line: | The bar is made from Easto EA70 Taperwall alloy - widely regarded as the strongest type of aluminium alloy in existence. As the name suggests, the bar is tepered from 4mm wall thickness in the middle to 2mm at the ends. The bar weighs about 380grams. When you consider some pros race on an Answer Hyperlite bar, which is made of the same EA70 alloy, but only weighs 270grams, you can see the extra 110g means this bar will never break or bend. I have had more stacks than I can count, and it just does not break. It isn't cheap, but for the security, it's worth every penny. | Overall Rating: |
