    Favoriate Trail:black bridge trails
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $60.00
    Purchased At:smith's cycle
Strengths:i like these bars so far, there cheap, strong, light, little flex, good good leverage
Weaknesses:this is not a weakness but these bars are alittle wider then my old tock ones but i'm finally starting to get used to it and am now like them but if they are to wide just cut em down with a pipe cutter
Similar Products Used:just the stock bars
Bike Setup:swchinn hard tail, ritchey saddle and seatpost, shimano pedal's,kenda tires, truvativ crankset, shimano 7spd cassette, truvativ stem, sram 9.0 esp carbon brake lever's, ritchey rizer pro bars
Bottom Line:i'm really liking these bars they give tons more confidence even on just road riding and on the trail have had no flaws with them let's just say i'll be keeping these one's on for a long time. bottom line if you like to have fun but still ride technical terrain and you give your bike a good beating these bars are for you some of the best money i've ever invested in a bike part

    Favoriate Trail:kickapoo
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Purchased At:midwest cyclery
Strengths:Cheap, comfortable rise, easy to cut, strong and light enough
Weaknesses:a little flex when i lockout my headshock
    Similar Products Used:various stock bars
Bike Setup:cannondale f600 sl, xt/lx/deore set up, 80mm headshock, furio frame, fsa atb carbon team cranks
Bottom Line:Great value. Go for it if you don't wanna shell out the cash for the carbon stuff. I wouldn't reccomend it for serious heavy duty riding though, I'm fairly big (6' 5", 200 lbs) and i get a little flex on xc traisl.

Favoriate Trail:rockin' da streets, racin' dirty trails
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $30.00
    Purchased At:locale dealer
Strengths:not that heavy, not that pricy, good size and angel
Weaknesses:finish is not perfect, the ends could be little bit stiffer
Similar Products Used:not yet, will try roox bomber next
    Bike Setup:CD Killer V, costumized
Bottom Line:Ritchey's Rizer Pro is the perfect one for beginners and advanced, who don't want to spend to much money in some bike stuff, but like to have a reliable handlebar.

I dont' really like the color any more (champagner) so I purchased a black roox bomber.

The Rizer will be the handlebar for my second, my new XC-Bike.

    Favoriate Trail:Hooper
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $40.00
    Purchased At:The Bicycle Shop-LSU
    Strengths:Stiff, light, strong
    Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Specialized straight bar, Easton composite
    Bike Setup:Specialized FSRxc w/ upgrades
Bottom Line:This is a no-nonsense, riliable bar. It was a bit longer than I like, but that's nothing that my trusty tubing-cutter couldn't solve. If you are not concerned with aesthetics or if the gray bar matches you bike, this is a no-brainer. The bar is light, strong, stiff, and perfectly reliable. Very happy with this purchase.

    Favoriate Trail:Camp Tamarancho
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $40.00
    Purchased At:A Bicycle Odyssey
Strengths:This bar is very stiff no flex and wide enough for the true moto feel. Great leverage and comfortable enough to use on any bike cc or dh. Gives you the feeling of always being in control yet comfortable positions
    Weaknesses:One color
Similar Products Used:Answer Taperlite, Titec, Azonic, Tomac Bar
Bike Setup:8 deg 110mm stem 125mm front travel and 4-5-6" adjustable rear
Bottom Line:Buy this bar if you want it to last, look good, have the strength needed, and you dont want to pay too much. Persons to buy this bar are the not so conscious about image type name brands but want good quality gear. Dont buy this if you are a DH wannabee that has to spec your bike the way someone else does with nothing to back the decisions but image. Ritchey offers two different levels of this bar but Pro and WCS. The Freeride group will want the Pro Level for strength instead of the WCS model which is much lighter.

Weaknesses:On some frames it doesn't looks too good.
    Similar Products Used:Zoom, Race Face
    Bike Setup:Lx/xT Avid brakes
Bottom Line:If your using flat handlebars you should buy this piece of work. Just Buy It !!
[On "metalized bikes" maybe the color looks too dark but unless you mind that it's a fine handle bar]

    Favoriate Trail:
    Hogan
    Duration Product Used:
    6 months
    Strengths:
Wide, suspension-like, shot-peened finish, color, added handling, strong (no brace needed), and SO much more!
    Weaknesses:
    Haven't found any yet.
    Similar Products Used:
Haven't tried any other riser bars.
    Bike Setup:
    Cdale Headshok
Bottom Line:Got nothing but good things to say about this bar. This should be filed under suspension, not bars. My bike handles soooooo much better with the added width. And I LIKE the color (gun-metal grey?)- it's different.Good job Ritchey! Almost makes up for those headsets you make I've heard so many people complaining about...5 flaming horses for a job well done...

Submitted by marko a Cross-Country Rider from london
    Date Reviewed: June 24, 1999
    Duration Product Used:
    3 months
    Strengths:
the width. big wide bars without a ridiculous rise.
    Weaknesses:
the weight, i suppose. but it's not like it matters. and anything that wide is gonna weigh a bit.
    Similar Products Used:
never used risers before this. always been a wide, flat, derby style kinda bar guy before these.
    Bike Setup:
94 Kona Explosif set up as a single speed with a Pete Geigle Singleator. Set up for technical riding with Mavic 517's on XT hubs with Bontrager Jones tires.
Bottom Line:i'm glad i got these bars. i like to ride technical xc, not always at high speed, but always trying to stay in control. i'm looking for bars which are safe and comfortable. well, these are definitely comfortable. rise and bend combine to offer great adjustability. safe? i guess so. happy to say i haven't bent them yet (stacked with them twice now, luckily my elbows have protected the bars). for technical xc riding (and bandwagon trend jumping too, my friends say) these are great bars.

    Favoriate Trail:
trail 104, chadwick motocross park, chadwick, mo
    Duration Product Used:
    6 months
    Strengths:
    Strength, cheap
    Weaknesses:
    color looks like ass
    Similar Products Used:
ritchey force lite, icon flat bar(also looks like ass), raceface air alloy, pvc pipe
    Bike Setup:
DBR vertex, Manitou SX, handbuilt bonty/xt wheels
Bottom Line:This is a damn fine bar. It's nice and wide, like a good motocross bar, and I haven't bent it yet. It only cost my parents 40 bucks, cost me nothing (thanks, santa) and it works pretty darn well. The only complaint I have is that it lacks a color choice, as I would have opted for a good old clear anodized finish. Also, it lacks the sex appeal of a Race Face or Syncros bar. but that has absolutely no effect on performance, so please ignore it.
