    Favoriate Trail:Kahuku moto-x track
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Price Paid: $65.00
    Purchased At:eBay/ Annette's Prod
Strengths:Very cool looking carbon/Kevlar weave ( yellow and black). Strong, and light bars with very comfortable bend.
    Weaknesses:None to date.
    Similar Products Used:Profile carbon bars
    Bike Setup:not relevant
Bottom Line:Bought these LP Composites bars from Annette's products on eBay, and couldn't be happier. I have both the DH and XC version of the hybrid carbon/Kevlar bars. The bars are amazingly light.... and very stiff..... especially if you buy the 31.8mm diameter. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase these bars go with the 31.8mm diameter because it's much stiffer than the 25.4mm version. The look of the hybrid ( yellow and black) bars is truly awesome and trick! I can honestly say that these are the best composite bars on the market today... far superior to the other brands such as FSA, Easton, etc. Those other companies don't seem to have the quality that these LP Composites bars do. LP has been around for quite some time.... and they have a excellent customer service policy.... and the bars are guaranteed for 50 years by LP to the original buyer! I doubt I will be riding 50 years from now.... but's it's still cool they offer that kind of warranty!

Bottom line is.... if you want a uber-cool looking set of composite bars.... look no further than these LP Composites bars. I own 3 sets... and will be buying one more this weekend from Annette on eBay. 5 grilled guacamole burgers for this Bad Boy Bar! *****

Strengths:Gorgeous craftsmanship (I'm an engineer, so I notice small manufacturing details professionally).
Weaknesses:Can be a little hard to find place to purchase.
    Similar Products Used:Easton carbon fiber
    Bike Setup:Cannondale F3 Aluminum Hardtail
Bottom Line:A really great choice. Beautifully made and really unique. Not sure why you don't hear more about these guys. I immediately noticed the vibration-damping compared with the OEM aluminum bar, as would be expected for CF.

I measured around 205g for my 25" long, 31.8mm clamp diameter, "XC Riser" bar.

    Reasonable price and US-made...top shelf!!

Strengths:Hybrid weave is amazingly cool. Absorbs some vibration.
    Weaknesses:flexes (see above)
Similar Products Used:Easton monkeylite, Scott at2-lf, many aluminum bars
    Bike Setup:Ventana El Conquistador Tandem
Bottom Line:This is for the XC riser bar. These bars are great deal through Annette on ebay. I use them driving an off-road tandem = no lifting the front end over obstacles and trying to steer 350lbs of mass. This bar handles it all with no complaints. It does have some noticable flex which took a bit to get used to visually. I still notice it if the trail is boring. That flex really allows the bar to reduce buzz and vibration. Strong bar and light weight. LP has a 50 year defect warranty and a 12 month free crash replacement.

    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $95.00
Strengths:Light, very comfortable. Soaks up bumps well. Looks good!
Weaknesses:Upper-most layer of bar makes the diameter just slightly bigger than most aluminum bars, and will make removing/applying brake levers, shifters, and grips VERY difficult!
    Bike Setup:Jamis Exile 29'er SS.
Bottom Line:I like the bar because it is nice and light, and eats-up road vibrations well. And it looks cool.

I use this bar on a Jamis Exile 29'er with a rigid fork, so a more compliant bar was a must for me. This bar does well in those regards.

But the top layer on the bar is a plastic-like substance which increases the outside diameter. This makes applying your accessories/drivetrain components incredibly difficult. I had to use a sanding bit to drill out the inside clamp diameter of my brake levers just to slide them onto the bar. And my grips were also very difficult to apply.

I am happy with the bar now. But when it comes time to upgrade anything that's attached to the bar, I won't like it very much.

    Bike Setup:Clark Kent F-12..
Bottom Line:Very safe bar. I've used em all from the 5000 series
aluminum to the 7000 series. Last bar was a Easton Hyperlite.
That said, I got the 22" B5, and CUT 1" off of each side
with my Dremel. Put the plugs back in, and put some
shorty carbon bar-ends on. I think this is a bullet
proof bar so far. NO complaints. This from an ex Cat-1
rider who's snapped a 5000 series alum bar at highway
speeds. Never again. Point of contact failures suck.
I'd recommend this bar. Truth is, I lusted after it for

Strengths:A Strong carbon fiber DH bar. Excellent trail chatter damping. This bar smooths the trail out like butter. No more tired arms! Great looks and greater price!
Weaknesses:Not the lightest carbon bar, but I like the added strength for peace of mind.
Similar Products Used:Bontregar crowbar, Titec Flat tracker, Specialized special rise, etc.
Bike Setup:I have this Bar on my Specialed Enduro FSR. A "Trail bike" or all mountain with 5" travel front and rear. Marzocchi Z1 on the front. I am using a Profile Stiffy stem with it.
Bottom Line:This is everything I wanted in a carbon bar without the fear it was going to snap on anything rough. I have heard that the Easton bars will break if you abuse them so I opted for the LP DH version in a 26" length. The sweep of this bar is great at 10 degrees. It puts your hands and wrists in a very comfortable postition. The Damping of this bar is wonderful. It lets you ride longer with much greater comfort and controll. Excellent price point on this bar very affordable at 70$. If you are looking for a carbon bar for your trail bike or cross country rig go with LP a Top Quality Handlebar. five flaming frogs!

    Similar Products Used:Bontrager.
Bike Setup:I'm reviewing the B5 in a 21" width. I've got a hodgepodge of excellent and middle of the road parts on a Specialized hardtail.
Bottom Line:These bars rock. I made a point of riding them the day after I installed them and replaced an alloy bar. I could totally feel a difference, especially in my upper back the next day. I'm definitely into the flat bar/bar end scene and LP reinforces their flat bars with a G-10 fiberglass plug. 89 bucks gets you a killer USA made carbon bar, with a killer warranty. Their flat bars a little heavier than the competition, but this is the penalty for manufacturing a bar that's bar end compatible. If you're into the riser bar scene, check out their XC and DH risers.

Bottom Line:I have really thrashed on this bar for a couple of years with no problems. LP bars have a reputation for being a bit stronger with a bit of a weight penalty, but not much! It has survived many, many crashes without complaint. I had this bar on a NRS1 and I think it improved the feel and ridability of the bike a great deal. A good bar for trail riding.

Bottom Line:Took a while geting used to the amount of flex this bar gives (much more than any of the eastons). It did solve the hand numbness I used to have on very long rides. On extremely rough DH terrain it's a bit harder to keep the bike tracking correctly.
Otherwise I've had no problems with it, considering I weight 245lbs. Will probably change it this year cus you never know when a carbon bar will break. It's a 4.5 (just wish it had a bit less flex).

Bottom Line:I've used the LP and the Easton carbon bars, and I like them both, but I think each is geared towards a slightly different use. The LP has a fair amount of flex, and does a nice job of helping absorb those fast little stutters that the shock won't. It's great on the Raven to help out the headshock with it's limited (70 mm) travel. But, on the tracer, I think the Easton is better. It's quite a bit stiffer and gives more precise steering, and the Marzocchi doesn't need the help that the headshock does.

    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $88.00
    Purchased At:Soul Cycles
Strengths:Pretty light, pretty strong, cool looking, probably very good vibration dampening. I'm reviewing the 3 degree flat bar, black weave.
Weaknesses:They break occasionally, but doesn't everything?
Similar Products Used:No other bars on this bike, hence the lack of reference frame.
Bike Setup:Ibis Mojo, 99' Zoke Atom Bomb, XTR, Raceface stem & cranks, Thomson post, Nuke Proof wheelset, etc..
Bottom Line:These bars lasted me through a good nine months of hard crashing in rock gardens. Finally broke it on friday in a crash on a railroad trestle, it cracked most of the way through under the left grip, which kept it together for the next 15 miles, more or less.. went back to my LBS on saturday and bought another one, this time a 3 degree "tigerstripe" flat bar. Obviously I'm not bothered by the fact that it broke. I haven't used any other bar on this bike so I can't compare it to anything. (I'm 6'3", 180 soaking wet)
