$85.00 | | Strengths: | Great shape, super looks, very stiff | | Weaknesses: | Not as light as true carbon bars | | Similar Products Used: | Bontrager Race XXX Lite Riser & Flat bars, FSA 240 | | Bike Setup: | Marin Indian Fire Trail with Mavic 317 Rims, Truvativ Firex 3.2, Juicy 5's, Fox Float RL32, XTR 960 shifters/mechs | | Bottom Line: | I have the race XXX Lite bars on my Rift Zone, and they are much lighter, but much more expensive. As a carbon wrap bar you get the best of both worlds - super strong alloy inside, super cool carbon look outside. At 240gs for 650mm wide OS bar, weight is not an issue. Get these bars if you want a great look and feel combined with awesome strength. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$115.00 | | Strengths: | Light weight. | | Weaknesses: | They're pricey. | | Bike Setup: | Raleigh XXIX, single-speed, fully-rigid | | Bottom Line: | I was worried about snapping them on monster climbs, the kind where I'm pulling up with enormous force as I try to power up on the single speed, given their light weight. But they have held serve wonderfully. For awhile, I kept thinking on every climb, "maybe this time they'll snap". But they never do, and I quit thinking about it.
Excellent results for me, so far. This stuff is good sauce: 5 chilis! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
