Description:Our strongest DH/freeride handlebar uses AL-7050-TV alloy, the same high-strength material used in Truvativ's Stylo and Holzfeller high-end racing cranksets. The same properties that make AL-7050-TV the ideal choice for lightweight but extremely strong cranksets also makes a bombproof handlebar. This material makes a bar significantly lighter than other alloys yet at the same time stronger and more fatigue resistant. In other words, perfect for your handlebars. 5-degree backsweep and 8-degree upsweep. Two rises--25mm or 50mm--and two widths--680mm or 710mm--offer a variety of sizing options. 31.8mm bar clamp diameter. For DH racing and extreme freeriding.

Favoriate Trail:Quarry Park, UW Madison Campus
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Strengths:Rise, strength, weight
    Weaknesses:Can't say at this point.
    Bike Setup:Urban Trials
Bottom Line:I ride street, dirt, trail, and park with my PX Zebdi. I don't care for typical trials bar/stem setups, and these bars are a nice alternative for achieving the rise and angle suitable for my riding preferences. I bought my Zebdi used and these bars came with it. I noticed an "obvious bend" in the right bar where the brake lever attaches too (see other reviews). I assumed the previous owner dumped the bike hard, but after seeing another review mentioning the same thing, I have to wonder.

    Date Reviewed: July 9, 2004
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $70.00
    Purchased At:The Peak
Strengths:Great design. The rise/sweep/angles are perfect for aggressive riding. These bars are also 2" wider than the last and this helps with high speed stability. Light but strong -no flex in this bar at all thanx to the 7000 series Al
    Weaknesses:None @ this time.
Similar Products Used:Titec Hellbent (bent 'em), Profile Maniac DH (bent 'em too)
Bike Setup:GSR Hooligan DH HT built for speed!
Bottom Line:This handlebar is another great upgrade in a long list of heavy duty upgrades that occur as the light duty components have crapped out on me. By upgrading from light-duty CC parts to DH parts a funny thing is starting to happen ...my bike parts aren't failing nearly as quickly. DH components apparently suit my riding style ...up hill slow, downhill FAST!!!

Favoriate Trail:any trail that does not lead to work
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $60.00
    Purchased At:local bike shop
    Strengths:31.8 clamping area,light (for a downhill bar)nice looking, not to expensive,strong(I hope),nice smooth brake/shifter clamping area.
Weaknesses:pre-bent from factory where the bar should be straight(one side only)
Similar Products Used:titec hellbent riser, club roost riser, avneir, answer, richey severe conditions riser, scott
Bike Setup:intenseM1, marzocchi, super-t, rhino lite xl, xt,tioga, fox vanillaRC, FSA
Bottom Line:the main reason I am writing this review is to find out if anyone else has had quality issues with T.V. these bars came brand new from the factory with an obvious (E-XTRA) BEND on the right side where the brake lever clamps! this was NOT shipping damage.I have returned the bar and I hope the replacement will be good to go. It isn't very confidence inspiring when the new "supposedly" indestructible h/c top-of-the-line cream of the crop EXPENSIVE mass produced made in IndoTaiChiKoMalaTimbuctou handlebar comes with a complimentary (unsightly) superfluous ?assymetrical? 3degree bend on the right side. Anyway I will write again when the replacement comes .ROCK and ROLL.

    Date Reviewed: January 5, 2004
    Favoriate Trail:Porcupine Rim, Jones Park
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Purchased At:Truvativ
Strengths:Very strong DH handlebar. 31.8mm mounting area.
    Weaknesses:None yet.
Similar Products Used:Easton EA70, Easton Scandium, Kore
Bike Setup:Haro MX3 frame, Marzocchi Super T, Fox Vanilla RC shock, Mavic D321 / XT / Atom Lab disc wheelset, Shimano M555 hydraulic disc brakes w/ Hope Gothic 8" rotors and EBC red pads, Shimano shifter, Shimano M545 pedals, Truvativ Holzfeller DH cranks, ring, stem, and handlebar (these rock!), MRP Slalom 1 chainguide, ODI Yeti Lock-on grips, Koski saddle.
Bottom Line:This handlebar just plain works well. I have it mounted up to the new Truvativ Holzfeller DH stem and the combination is very stiff and reactive. These were used during the last half of the 2003 Mountain States Cup season and withstood the abuse very well.
