    Favoriate Trail:rails too trails
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $12.00
Purchased At:Pedal Power (I paid no shipping of tax =)
Strengths:EXTREMELY comfortable, and I used to ride with foam grips. The diamond pattern is great for grip, and you'll never have blisters. Just a soft comfy grippy grip.
Weaknesses:you could cry that it wears out, but it not gonna wear out in 3 months. Grips like mongoose will last forever, but these will last about 9 months or so... really I find no weakness
Similar Products Used:foam grips, mongoose eastern longnecks
    Bike Setup:just a bmx bike
Bottom Line:THESE GRIPS ARE AMAZING! Sure you may slip a lil bit when you sweat, but all grippy grips that I've tried are like that. Lizard skins are probably they only way to avoid it, but these are worth it 100 percent. A smart person who is willing to replace grips about every 9 months or so should get these. If you have large hands, you can get OURYS, but I wouldn't recommend them over these for numerous reasons.
You should probably get black, cuz it will last longest. There is nothing negative about this grip, there pretty simple to install, ( use extremely hot water, then hairspray, which really works best) and is really comfy. Even when you do sweat you barely slip at all, just like any other grip out there. GEEZ, that aint miracle grips

Bottom Line:can't beat em for the price. they're more comfortable than any other grip ive ever used, with or especially without gloves. i always use hairspray because im a bad ass and they've never slipped on me so something besides hairspray must be even better. my only complaint is that with my current bars, Kalloy risers, the end caps were almost impossible to get in. these work so well and are so comfortable i cant see a reason to spend more.

    Price Paid: $10.00
    Purchased At:Bike Shak
Strengths:Reduce vibration, offer a durable and comfortable yet relatively thin padding.
Weaknesses:They tend to start turning when I starte sweating alot - don't wear gloves.
Similar Products Used:Everything but any type of locking grip
    Bike Setup:Work in progress
Bottom Line:Great grip for me. Like other peoples have written, don't use hairspray, soak in warm water then slide on. Easiest way to remove grips - use spray nozzle on end of air hose, slide it under the end of grip and spray air, the air lifts the rest of the grip off the bar and pull off, takes two seconds. Ride hard.

I plan on buying another pair of these very soon. If the company put a new lock on mechanism on these they would be perfect!

    Favoriate Trail:Fort Custer
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $12.00
    Purchased At:Alfred E. Bike
Strengths:Easy to install, can be easily cut to custom length, seems to last a long time. Good size for those with small or large hands.
Weaknesses:Grip becomes rigid when cold, doesnt take to well to hard impacts. When the grip gets old, it will rub off black material on your hands/gloves.
    Similar Products Used:Scott, Renthal
    Bike Setup:DBR Vertex
Bottom Line:This grip is an easy to find, reliable standard. It will work great for all kinds of riders, and as long as you dont ride in cold weather, is a highly supple, vibration reducing material. This grip would be especially good for those who ride a mountain bike recreationally, not competitively, because it tends to get torn up when you start crashing.

Bottom Line:great grip for not much moneys, of course theyre gonna slip if you use hairspray and crap on them, cause you really shouldnt do that. when putting on grips, best be using water or better yet, quick evaporating electrical cleaner works best (isopropol alcohol)and they will never slip. just spray and slide em on, the stuff evaporates in like two seconds and voila, theyre stuck on there forever.. the rubber is designed to stick by themselves with out using any kinda glue or spray. work great with my axiom bars. PS if you can, get bartender grips they rock

Easy to put on:(stole this tip from another review on this site, works for all kinds of grips)Just soak them in really hot, almost boiling water for a minute and twist them on into position. When they dry the will not move. How the hell do you get them off? same way. just stick the end of the handlebar in a pot of hot water and they twist right off. No problems at all. I transferred these grips from my old bars and didn't have to slice them off and waste $10. Bought Taco Bell instead. Awesome grip for any style rider. Thank god for these cheap and kickass grips. Bottom Line:I really like these grips, even though you'll slide around on them when you work up a lather (gloves will solve this problem but I don't like wearing them). As for the grips slipping on the bars, follow these directions and they(or any grips for that matter)won't slip. Clean your bars with rubbing alcohol, then totally soak the inside of the grip with alcohol, push onto the bar and allow to dry for 24 hours. No more slipping! Ride On!

    Strengths:long, good diameter
    Weaknesses:seem to wear fast
    Similar Products Used:titec, oury
    Bike Setup:DBR Zetec
Bottom Line:These are awesome so far. On the cheap end of good grips, but the best nonetheless. Longer than most-good for big hands. As soft as ourys, but without the sticky crap and outrageously huge size, and besides, Ourys weigh as much as Marlon Brando (that's about a ton). They seem to wear pretty quick, but even if they only last a year or so it will be worth it. Mine are't even the lock on kind, put on without adhesive, and they are stil in the exact spot that I installed them. Maybe it's because of the powdercoatad enduro bar, but they haven't moved at all.

The bottom line? When shimano released the current XTR, these grips were shown in all the ads (secret agent ads)-portraying the ultimate bike. That's because this is the best grip you can get, and they're cheap, too.

Weaknesses:Laughable clamping screws, little grip to bar
Bottom Line:Although these feel nice in the hand with good shock absorbtion, and the idea seems sound, they perform extremely poorly. They will NOT stay put on the bar despite the hairspray, glue and finally tape intended to make them do so, and in trying to tighten the tiny sest screws, they simply pulled through the plastic. This was their poor attempt to mimic ODI grips which have ALUMINUM locking clamps. These Serfas grips do not slide on easily like the ODIs - they have an thin internal rubber film which disintegrates if you try to remove the grips and then put them back on. The set screws are a joke - you cannot tighten them enough to keep the grips from twisting. I finally switched to ODI grips and I couldn't be happier.

I use my Big Sur for daily work travel. About 12 miles a day. These grips help make the ride more comfy. Off road works well also. Secret is to wear gloves to keep from getting too much sweat on grips. Sweat seems to break these grips down, and make them slippery while riding. Installation is not that hard, and yes I do cut them to remove them. But that doesn't matter because when im removing them I'm putting new ones on anyway. :P
