    Purchased At:Dan's Bike Shop Maka
Strengths:Nice, simple low-profile design. Good fit, silicon tips grip brake levers well.
Weaknesses:The leather palms take some time to dry.
    Similar Products Used:none
    Bike Setup:2008 Jamis Trail X 3.0 24s disc
Bottom Line:This 2008 Fox glove is great for my needs. The style and black/silver colors are cool, and the leather palm helps cushion my hands when on rough terrain.

Best part is the sweat-wicking terry cloth thumb. Greatly helps keeping stinging perspiration out of my eyes! 8^)

A known brand which does the job. Excellent product! Highly recommended!!

Note: When i say dry slow, is like when its raining, not talking about sweat.

Strengths:Comfortable, grippy, looks good, free of garish logos.
    Weaknesses:None
    Similar Products Used:Cheap work gloves
    Bike Setup:Cannondale Rush 1000.
Bottom Line:I ended up needing size XL in these gloves, even though I used to use size medium in Pearl Izumi fingerless gloves. I think the companies might be sizing the gloves smaller to save money, or sizing them for smaller Asian hands (no offense to you Asians out there). At any rate be sure you grab handlebars with these gloves before you buy them, or you might go home with gloves that are too small. Grabbing bars tends to make the fingers bunch up.

As far as the gloves are concerned, they have grippy palms that almost stick to the handlebar grips, they're comfortable, protect your thumb from abrasion (even after a 10-hour, 50 mile mtb ride), and have understated good looks that are free of garish logos, and are appropriate for road or mtb use.

I've had them for less than a month and can't comment on durability.

    Bike Setup:Avid SD Ultimate levers

Bottom Line:The best pair I have. I've tried almost all the MEC gloves for 2005 and 2006. They are nice, but I found that the back of your hand/knuckle area material was too thick and didn't stretch. Hence pinching finger.

The search was on for a glove that didn't do that and had a soft strechable material for the knuckle area.

I found these from reading the fox website. I ordered a pair of medium without even trying them on. FIT PERFECT!

THere is zero padding. I found that too much padding was a bad thing, it could cause the glove to chafe your hand. I originally though more padding = less hand numbness. Not the case. Good fit = no numbness.

Get these gloves if you ride cross country and want excellent breathability, light and good feel with them on.

    Strengths:They're cheap?
Weaknesses:tight/painful on the thumb, palm bunching up, uncomfy after sweaty...stay sweaty, lame and useless silicon grips
Similar Products Used:Super - Troy Lee Designs XC, Ok - 661 Raji
Bike Setup:I have medium to large hands and the Ergon MP1 Grips.
Bottom Line:After cutting my fingers on the drive by foilage, I finally caved to my bro's "Full Finger or bust" motto. The kicker that put me over the edge...braking grip. I finally realized my fingerless gloves dealt me sweaty fingers and thus slipfest on the brakes...on the downhill. :(

So the Inclines were purchased cheap and they felt good enough for me to give em a go on the trail. What I found was a glove that was so molded to be in the "hands around bar" grip position, when riding uphill, my thumbs BEGGED for mercy. I like to move my hands around that these wouldn't have any of that!

The downhills left me with nothing but a palm full of glove constanty slipping back and forth. To say I lost confidence on the way down would be an understatement. I actually slowed down, haha!

I went on an uncharacteristically humid day here in the desert and found these gloves just heavy and moist with no desire to expel any of the sweat from my hands.

Ah yes, the grips. Good idea, bad implementation. They're like itty bitty tear drops from a Fox or little dog and do absolutely nothing to assist in braking. At least compared to the Raji or Troy Lee's gracious helpings of silicon.

    Basically...it sucked.

    Jod :-)

Strengths:Low cost, light weight, no flashy/funky logos, no nonsense, durable, machine washable, subtle design, functional.
Weaknesses:The grip stripes on the index and middle fingers wore off after a few months and perhaps 6 washes.
Similar Products Used:Bunch of half fingered gloves, house brand and top name.
Bike Setup:Schwinn Homegrown hardtail (just about stock)
Fisher Cake 2DLX full suspension (stock)
Bottom Line:These are my first full fingered gloves and I'll never go back to half fingers. I ride in never-too-cold Southern CA and these gloves are perfect for year 'round riding. The gloves are light enough so you can feel the controls. The covered fingers give good protection against brush and the occasional fall. It probably doesn't offer good protection for downhillers and more aggressive riders. I've been wearing these for about 6 months, and ride at least twice a week, averaging 18 miles per ride. These gloves show little wear. The material and stitching are in excellent shape.

Big bonus - no: funky colors, large logos, space-agey looking features.

    Great glove, great price.

Strengths:The faux-leather palms are superb for gripping the handlebars and bar ends. Not too hot for hot weather riding. Plenty big terry cloth patch for sweat smearing.
Weaknesses:I guess I like a little padding in the palm, but also several seams converge under the thumb where my hand rests on the bars...good for short rides or sore palms.
Similar Products Used:Pearl Izumi fingerless gloves (non-gel)
Bike Setup:Trek Fuel 90, with some upgrades
Bottom Line:I may try to put a foam piece under my thumb and they may be perfect for what I expect out of a glove. The grip on the palms are excellent for jarring rooty trails...just not the stuffing.

Maybe that's why PI's are $40 and these are $20

    Strengths:See below
Weaknesses:This is about these particular gloves, and not all Fox gloves.
Bottom Line:This is to continue my review from 2/3/03. Well, even though I already stated how horrible these gloves were, the weather (about 68 deg.), and the fact that my other gloves were in the wash, forced me to use these one last time, with unfortunate results.
While finishing up a short decent on a not to difficult fire road, I was approaching a little bump at about 25mph, I tried to pull up on my bars to clear the 2” bump, my right hand (being sweaty as stated in my last review) slid inside the glove which caused a release of the handlebar, which caused my left hand to pull back on the bar. This developed into a spectacular endo, and a 3rd degree AC joint separation. This stint was clearly caused by wearing these gloves. I now have $2000 in medical bills, a huge bump that is permanently sticking out of my shoulder, and constant pain (even after 6 mo.).

Bottom Line: These gloves are dangerous, and are not worth your life. I have kept them to show friends how I succumbed to injury, and to make sure nobody else wears them.

Strengths:Ligth, no-nonsense, good fit, very neat glove for road racing on those chilly days
Similar Products Used:too many to mention
Bottom Line:These gloves are worth every cent. These days most gloves are nothing but bells and whistles - shiny colours, weird padding, 'breathable yet waterproof fabrics' etc. The incline gloves are just a pair of well-fitting full finger gloves that work - period!
I mainly use them for road riding, they're just perfect on semi-cold days. The palm has no padding which is perfect for road riding, the glove is tight-fitting, yet flexible on the upper part. These gloves have lasted about 4 years on the road which is unheard of. Highly recommendable, if you want a good, reliable, yet simple gloves that does the job. If you want something with space age fabrics and flashing LED-lights to impress the kids with - look somewhere else.

Strengths:Color, they Feel comfortable as long as you're not holding on to anything.
Weaknesses:Do not wick away sweat, Offer virtually no protection, No padding, your hands will slide around inside of glove, the list goes on.
Similar Products Used:Specialized gloves, other Fox gloves, etc.
Bike Setup:WTB or Oury grips, depending on season.
Bottom Line:My hands were soaking wet with sweat in about 20 mins of riding in 65% temp. I've never worn gloves that make my hands wet, even in the summer. After the first 45 minutes, I was doing everything in my power not to throw these off a cliff. The leather palms are so thin, they bunch up around the grip. They will not keep your hands warm, but they did keep them cool. The protection they offer is worth about one layer of skin. I felt out of control coming down hill, because my hands would slide all over the inside of the glove. I got a larger size up (like some reviewers recommend), because they do run small. But, I think that if I would have squeezed into my regular size, the may have not slid around so much. However, the finger length would have been too short for me (...and I do not have long fingers).
If you’re going to buy gloves to protect your hands, buy gloves that protect your hands (from the elements, from the ground, from the sweat, etc.). There is no other reason to wear gloves.
These aren’t worth one chili to me, but, these gloves are called “Incline”, so I will not hold them to any down-hill problems I may have had, so I will give them a few.

Bottom line: I bought these for extended climbs, but they just did not hold up to their name.

They are getting a little stretched out already, and I think one hard fall will do them in - they don't feel like they'll provide the same level of protection to my digits when I augur as some of the other gloves. Then again, I don't look like an extra from "The Road Warrior" with these on, either.
