Price Paid: $800.00
Purchased At:lbs( skiis and biikes)
Strengths:good all around components for a first bike, very light.very well spec'd parts.
Weaknesses:fork. it is not something you would want to stick with for long. very heavy. get a pike or a 66, even a 55.
Similar Products Used:none.
Bike Setup:pretty much the same as listed except for Shimano deore, truvativ blaze cranks. these came stock on the bike.
Bottom Line:this bike is a very solid beginner bike. stock it is light enough for some medium xc trails, strong enough frame for hucking. very solid components for a beginner bike. light components.great bike, even for the experienced rider.

Submitted by Brian a Weekend Warrior from Vancouver
Date Reviewed: July 31, 2006
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $900.00
Purchased At:Steed Cycles North Vancouver
Strengths:The frame is built well, shocks are smooth. Stops on a dime with the disc brakes and the bike rides like a couch.
Weaknesses:The bike is a bit heavy, but a person gets past the heavy feeling after awhile.
Similar Products Used:Nevada Mtn bike, from a few years back. No suspension, lighter then the Devinci, but nowhere near the quality of the Devinci
Bike Setup:Frame - Optimum X freeride dirt jump urban assault frame
Colour - matte black
Size - Large
Weight - 15.67 kg / 34.5 lb
Fork - Marzocchi Dirt Jam Comp 100mm
Head set - FSA Orbit Z1.5R
Front Derailer - Shimano Deore M510
Rear Derailer - Shimano Alivio MC21
Crank set - Truvativ Blaze isis 36/24T
Chain guide - Truvativ aluminum bash guard
Shifters - Shimano Alivio MC20
Cassette - Sram PG-830 9s 11-32T
Chain - Shimano IG31
Bottom Bracket - Truvativ Gigapipe DH LT
Peddles - Shimano clip
Front Hub - Shimano M475 disc

Rear Hub - Shimano M475 disc
Bottom Line:The Devinci Kicker is a very good bike for me. The Devinci rides well for a hard tail and justifies the riding I'm doing. I would love full suspension, but the pocket book right now keeps me with a very good bike.
