$450.00 | | Purchased At: | United Cycle | | Strengths: | strong frame, good geometry, good for the everyday bike around town person.Awesome Hayes MX4 mechanical disc brakes | | Weaknesses: | plastic pedals were a bad idea. Bars are weak and they bend after too much DJ,drops etc. i can bottom out my forks easy. | | Similar Products Used: | none im a 12 yr old beginner but i have demo'd my friends specialized P3,KHS DJ 50 and a Kuwahara Anvil | | Bike Setup: | Katmandu with 2005 marzocchi dropoff triples (sweet forks) | | Bottom Line: | People say that the bike completely sucks but really its not bad depends on the riding you do. it is a good bike for the person who doesn't dirt jump, freeride, downhill, street, or any hardcore riding. Like i said I am 12 but i can bottom out forks easy.doing 4 ft drops is not comfortable with forks that bottom out super easy. If you have the money and time replace forks, bars, pedals and any other problems.do it | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$405.00 | | Purchased At: | Sportwheels | | Strengths: | First ill mention its a 2007. I got it because I was on a budget, I do some dj and it can handle that. I'd consider it almost bomb proof for XC. It's taken anything I can throw at it, even more than I can handle lol | | Weaknesses: | We'll, nothing really, its a Norco, what can I say? | | Similar Products Used: | Norco Mountaineer | | Bike Setup: | Stop, except for a chain stay protector | | Bottom Line: | If you want a cheao bombproof XC bike, and dont mind that it weighs 34lbs, go for it! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$500.00 | | Purchased At: | Cyclepath, Brantfrod | | Strengths: | Good frame, brakes stop bike on a dime, fast tires with good grip on dirt and gravel | | Weaknesses: | Noisy derailer, uncomfortable saddle, slow on pavement | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | stock so far | | Bottom Line: | Fun bike to ride, but don't expect to be doing too much in the way of jumping or extended descents. Made for riding trail, and does a nice job of it. Pain in the rear to ride on the road however. Change the saddle if you plan on doing a lot of extended rides. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Im tall and the frame angle doesnt help. Plastic pedals | | Similar Products Used: | Norco Mountaineer | | Bottom Line: | This bike isnt very good in i think is strictly for beginners or flat trail riders. If you get this bike upgrade the fork as soon as possible because its junk. Dont go off jumps unless youre really good because the fork would be able to handle it. $465.00 | | Purchased At: | A&L | | Strengths: | bike has a beefed up frame that can withstand almost anything. only 31 ibs. the bike is great for jumping and trikin' around on. has a resonable price. and because its so light it is very easy to get "BIG AIR" off the smallest of jumps. | | Weaknesses: | the fork that the bike came with sucks big time and is for strictly beginners or panzies. you should probably put bigger shocks on if you are tryin bigger stuff. the sr suntour m-3000 can handle not much i personaly used the suntours for about a year and by the end of 'em i was bottoming them off 3-4 foot drops - not good so i ripped em off and put on a marzocchi exr pro which are great but cost $360 canadian - ouch | | Similar Products Used: | trek 4300 trek 3700 norco wolverine
| | Bike Setup: | norco katmandu with marzocchi exr pros and bash guard. near seat aswell | | Bottom Line: | this is a great bike for people who ride a lot and for beginner riders but if "souped" up this can be a great bike for anyone especially those who try everything they see! great for dirt jumps and also can be used as a cross country mountain bike with panzie riders.
put a new fork on or you may get hurt tryin anything good. frame and new 100mm + fork can take an 8-9 foot drop before breakin and thats the shocks. the frame will never break and if your crazy enough to try any thing big enough to brake it you shouldn't be riding this bike you should be riding a bike that i sure cant afford. lol i rate her 4 out of 5 but with my marzocchis shes a 5/5. DEFINITELY NEEDS A NEW FORK (:!!!!have fun with her!!!!:) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$400.00 | | Purchased At: | Darlings Island Bike Shop | | Strengths: | Durable aluminum, durable tires (kenda kinetics), easy shifting between gears, breaks work well when wet, looks great, great price! | | Weaknesses: | once in a while the gears make a funny sound (between 1 and 1), brakes squeek a little bit (not really that noticable), paint scratches pretty easily, BMX flatpedels ( they are plastic). | | Similar Products Used: | Mele, Norco Kokanee, just about any Rocky Mountain. | | Bike Setup: | stock | | Bottom Line: | Overall great bike. i really love it and ive only taken it out a few times. I got it for a great price because it was on sale. The store forgot they had it because when the got it, it was behind other bikes and no one saw it. anyway, it looks great. i got it in grey because, well, it looks really cool. i plan to buy new parts for it, including Marzocchi Dropoffs (which i believe will do it a great deal of good). anyway, go see for yourself. its affordable, works well, and you will always see people walking by staring at your bike :D | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
