$850.00 | | Purchased At: | Pedersens ski n sports (friends shop) | | Strengths: | Everything is way over sized. Feels like a tank. Built very strong. Huge 2.5 tires just mow over everything. Despite its weight its very easy to ride. Doesn't shutter when its abused, unlike my XC bike. Everything is Black! Makes me feel like special forces. | | Weaknesses: | Huge 2.5 tire rubs a bit in rear on fast corners. Had to adjust my front derailer way out to keep my chain on when in 32f gear and 34r gear. I want to change the gearing a bit and add a 3rd ring. | | Similar Products Used: | Bent my 91'Diamondback frame. Warranty not honored! Switched parts to a 95'Caloi frame. Spent a ton of cash on new parts. Then figured I just wanted a new ride that had disks, 9spd, and huge 2.5 treads. | | Bike Setup: | Factory pilot. I don't care for trigger shifters so I will switch to grip shift X.0 in a bit. Still too new to start upgrading. | | Bottom Line: | I wanted a bullit proof set up that I could abuse. This ride is certanly it. I started life in the BMX world so I just loved that a company would commit to building a tough hardtail. It might be to fat for some to be a daily driver. With some small XC tires this ride could take you to work everyday. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$2500.00 | | Strengths: | By far the toughest hardtail i have ridden. Geometry is absolutely spot on for dj's, may be a little high for hardcore dh. Awesome street bike too. The SDG I-Beam is nutz, strong and extremely light, will be running one on my dh rig after flogging this one on the hardtail. | | Weaknesses: | Some componentry e.g dual chainrings up front, fork (manitou stance flows) bars grips and stem. STILL stock is ok, custom is my thing though. Not making them for "06". | | Similar Products Used: | Kona Cowan, Giant STP1, Speciallised p3 | | Bike Setup: | red brake pads, da bomb moto stem, pro tapers, oury lock on grips, dmr end caps, upgraded lowers and seals on the stances, truvative chain device, blackspire dh chain ring 40T, xtension X-pedals (with five ten, stealth shoes...won't ever be going away from that combo), hard pack minion's front and rear 2.5"...awsome all round tyre feel sorry for anyone not running them on thier hardtails/bikes period | | Bottom Line: | For me with the custom options i have on it there was just no other choice. The geometry is great, this bike even stock is a great choice. p.s squeeky brakes and tyre rubbing are a maitainance thing see your local bike shop.

$750.00 | | Purchased At: | Sun and Ski Sports | | Strengths: | The components and frame are solid. I will break before they ever will. I could not buy all these components for the price and the lifetime service deal that Sun and Ski offers. | | Weaknesses: | The reflectors busted off the pedals on the first ride...didn't need them anyway. The giant stock rear tire rubs the frame some times. Disk brakes squeak some. And as others have mentioned it is HEAVY...but worth it | | Similar Products Used: | Trek, lower grade Haro's, Gary Fisher | | Bike Setup: | stock | | Bottom Line: | I looked for about six months, read all the reviews, test rode bikes, asked all my buddies about their favorites, thought about ordering a bike, but when it all came down to it, the best bike for the money was this one! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$800.00 | | Purchased At: | sun & ski | | Strengths: | NASTY frame. Parts spec is amazing for a bike in this price-range. | | Weaknesses: | Weight. SDG I-Beam setup. | | Similar Products Used: | U name it. | | Bike Setup: | Will be ditching the I-beam for something with a little more cush. Will be e-baying the fork & swapping to a Pike. | | Bottom Line: | I couldn't believe the price. The components alone retail for well over a grand. A little on the pudgy side. I ride mostly trails with a dab of urban. I'll be swapping to a Pike up front to shave off about 3 lbs & get better suspension for trail riding. I'll be saving the 2.5's for special rides. As mentioned below, they stick like glue, but they're a little heavy for every day tires.
I kept looking for a bad component. Finally found it. No name hubs. Those will probably break within a year, but everything else on this bike is solid. I will break before it does. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$800.00 | | Purchased At: | Century Cycles | | Strengths: | As a 285 lb urban assault rider, I needed a beefed up bike. This is nothing but grade A! Everything is overbuilt, confidence inspiring, and stiff as all get out. The entire package is nearly perfect for anyone looking for a strong bike. The steering was so responsive, like a solid fork, yet it can take big hits. The tires are awesome for drops, like 2.5 extra inches as needed. | | Weaknesses: | The seat and post are odd, but light. As a dude who likes BMX seats, it's a little harsh. Also, DUH! It's a 38.5 lb bike... slow in dirt. I would have also liked to see a more practical front gearing (single 44t with a box guide). As it's for DJ/Urban, the trials/XC gearing blows. Though ebay would treat the extra parts nicely. | | Similar Products Used: | K2 Flyin Monkey, Surly Instigator | | Bike Setup: | Stock: DJ2, Truvativ gear (w/ISIS), QR20 hub and sun singletrack rims. That's SWEEET! Added lock on grips because I hate regular ones. Also will be changing to a more practical gearing setup. | | Bottom Line: | This bike is great for big guys... Great for jumpers and urban assault... Great for park... Even DH. It is in no way a light bike, nor should it be. It is meant to be pounded on relentlessly by a big fat dude like me. There is no reason to make it light. I believe this bike is spec'd incredibly well for the price. The few upgrades needed are all personal choices, but the bike overall is a winner. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1375.00 | | Purchased At: | lbs | | Strengths: | frame is burly as hell. the tires stick like glue and the components are top notch | | Weaknesses: | the dj2. it sucks for anything exept urban/dj stuff. no DH for it. gona swap it for a z150 or 66.
the seat was the first thing to got and i got a WTB powerV
also if you do alot of xc with it your gona want to get some lighter wheelsets. those things are monster DH and overkill for anything related to xc. unless of course you like pushing an extra 3 pounds of rubber around all day | | Similar Products Used: | nothing | | Bike Setup: | stock cept for seat | | Bottom Line: | this is the biggest and best HT i have ever seen.
if you want to use it for a bit more trail riding you can swap the tires and tubes and save like almost 4 pounds. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1500.00 | | Purchased At: | Sports Exchange | | Strengths: | Not that heavy, a little heavier than my Flow24, but it sure is a nice bike. Easy to get used to, as far as bunnyhopping, drops, and dirt jumps are concerned, a little bit heavy for trials. Sure is strong upfront with the QR20; I'm a big fan. 110 mm is lots of travel with about 18-20 lbs pressure, and the frame sure is beefy. It is an extra - small frame, and it is red/silver. (You can't find this colour on Haro's website, though, just an ugly green) It is a nice bike for coasting wheelies. Handlebars and stem are short and beefy, cranks are nice. | | Weaknesses: | Grips are a little slippery when sweaty, but then I put my gloves on and it was good. | | Similar Products Used: | Flow, Flow 24, Sasquatch, Devenci Hucker, P2 | | Bike Setup: | stock except Holzfeller pedals - (sweet) | | Bottom Line: | This is a good bike for aggresive town riding, dirt jumping, drops, and freeriding, and if you want to get a sturdy hardtail this is for you. Colour look sweet, frame gussets look sweet, hydro brakes work great. I bought this bike from the store that I work at, got the dealers price on a factory clearance, (the price is canadian, no taxes) and the next day I sold it to my friend, he loves it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

It almost seem over kill for the bike. All the components seem as if thay would be better at home on a frame with 8" of travel. But i really like that you can find a hard tail equiped like this because it suits me great. | | Weaknesses: | I have had a lot of problems with the Hayes front brake, i need to bleed them a lot. The sdg I-beam seat is the worst thing i have ever seen on a bike, That is the firs thing that will go on this bike. | | Bike Setup: | factory | | Bottom Line: | I feel this is a great bike, but the price could defenitly use some adjusting. The brakes should really work beter. I have had a lot of fun and the geomitry has really given me some confidence. It's well equipted but you certainly pay for it, a Kona would be better value.
