$1100.00 | | Purchased At: | Velorution | | Strengths: | amazing frame, geometry and verry good fork. good seat. Easy to ajust brakes and it looks really sikk. Great bang for the buck. | | Weaknesses: | bent the seatpost in a week or so. Avid BB5's are alrite. I upgraded to the BB7's and couldnt be happier. It smetimes ghost shifts sometimes but im sure its nothing that a little tunung couldnt fix. Paint chips easy(no big deal) breaks squeel really loud wen wet. Tires arent great otherwise this bike is amazing | | Similar Products Used: | first "real" bike | | Bike Setup: | stock 2008 devinci hucker | | Bottom Line: | This is my first "real" bike(not one from walmart) and i just love it. im 6foot 2 210lbs on the large frame and this bike handles me exceptionally. I would recomend this bike to anyone except for downhillers. It handles rough terrain like a beats and climbes like a goat. I bent the seatpost but this wasnt a weakness in the bike, I was just being retarted and did a couple drops while sitting on the seat(just getting into bikeing) This bike is totally the cats meow! =) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Don't like the Sram shifters because I keep hitting them accidently (used to Shimano) but I'll get used to them. from Vancouver Date Reviewed: March 14, 2007 | | Favoriate Trail: | A-Line | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Purchased At: | Dunbar Cycles | | Strengths: | Nice, tight geometry. Beautiful, solid frame, reasonable spec. MADE IN CANADA. | | Weaknesses: | The stock fork is rather simple, and should be a 20MM thru axle. Lack of High-speed compression means you have a choice between bottoming out on big jumps, or chattering your way through rough spots. | | Bike Setup: | Manitou Nixon Super, Hope Mono M4 brakes, Raceface Evolve DH Crankset, Mavic EX729 Rims on Dirty hubs. | | Bottom Line: | As you can see, I've upgraded most aspects of my bike over the years, which I would only do because this frame is totally worth it. As far as freeride hardtails go, this is the one to get. Unlike other companies that pump out Taiwanese frames for a penny a piece, Devinci puts a lifetime warranty on their frames because they simply don't break. Period. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1100.00 | | Purchased At: | Cap's Langley | | Strengths: | Super strong frame and parts to go along with it. My 05 has made me a Sram convert, I love it. | | Weaknesses: | weight. The bike is beefy, you really appreciate the downhill once you get there though. The 05 OE Marz Drop-off fork lacks adjustability. I carry a shock pump with me when I go on rides. I increase air pressure to firm it up for the climb and once at teh top, reduce it for a plusher ride down. | | Similar Products Used: | Some XC hardtails and my Freeride dualy | | Bike Setup: | Stock. With double track rims on XT hubs. | | Bottom Line: | I love this bike. I removed the 36 tooth front ring and put on a 32 and replaced the Alex DM24 rims with Double tracks. I ride this bike as my heavy duty all mountain rig, it may be a pig riding up hills and trails, but it rails on the way down. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1710.00 | | Purchased At: | Mountain City Cycles | | Strengths: | This beefy frame is strong and undistructable. The bottom frame tube is made in an arch, the strongest man made shape. The crank is sooo dope, if you have the bike, you know what i mean. The shocks are tuff stuff. | | Weaknesses: | It is a heavy bike, im not going to lie. Its components are built heavy. The shocks are the only thing I might upgrade, they are killer shocks. Its just for downhill there not the most responsive shocks and their rebound is quite slow, but hey, they are good for Dirt Ju8mping and what are they called, DIRT JUMPERER 3. | | Similar Products Used: | DD66, DD11, Kona stinky D <-(not similar but what ever) | | Bike Setup: | Completely stock exept for S-Ram derailer and shifters. | | Bottom Line: | This bike is killer. If you want a strong fun ripper bike, this bike is killer. I had a fully but i didn't really like the non all roundness. I bought my hucker, and now i can do DJ's and X-country, a little trials, this bike is all round killer. This bike is sweet, look into it if you are looking for a strong all round (mainly DJ) bike. This bike isnt the best for smaller, weaker riders because of its weight. It is a good bike for dirt jumpers and people that want a strong bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1000.00 | | Purchased At: | if I tell you, I'd have to kill you | | Strengths: | The frame, brakes, and cranks. The brakes are Hayes, enough said. The cranks are Truvativ, not too poopy. The frame is burly and you can tell it is hand-made by those great Canadians. The colour is very nice, but does not have the "please steal me" look that other bikes do. The gussets are very strong, and Devinci offers a great warranty with thier frame, although it isn't really needed. The geometry of the frame kicks ass. | | Weaknesses: | The fork blows chunks. The componentry is ok for a weekend rider, but it doesn't match the frame well. The wheels are a bit weak, and the tires....well geez, may as well ride on the bare rims. | | Similar Products Used: | Norco Sasquatch, Norco Manik, Specialized P.1, P.2, P.3, Kona Stuff, Rocky Mountain Flow, Cove Stiffee, Cove Foreplay | | Bike Setup: | Stock frame and brakes, Profile cranks, X.9 drivetrain, Halo rims on Atomlab hubs with IRC Kujos. | | Bottom Line: | Buy this bike so you can ride right away and then upgrade it later. A majority of the cost is the frame, so the componentry leaves something to be desired. I also have a Norco Team NS and the Devinci forces me to ride better. On my Norco, the 8" travel in front and back lets me ride little less than perfect. With this I am forced to do everything right or eat pavement for lunch. Very good bike for the price, definatly buy this. I have ridden most every hardtail within $500, give or take. Very good ride, give Devinci a hand. Don't buy this as a first-time bike, or to travel to and from work. Buy this bike when you are serious about riding and will put the quality to good use. Only 4 on value for the *expletive deleted* components and fork. 5 on overall because of it's durability and the fact that is very difficult to upgrade this bike too far. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Montreal Date Reviewed: July 13, 2004 | | Favoriate Trail: | Bromont | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Purchased At: | bicycles Eddy | | Strengths: | Bike is awesome. I've used it for urban riding, downhilling at Bromont or just putsing around. The bike has a nice feel and withstands good drops with no agony. Very good product and worth buying.
Mine is equipped with SRAM X-7 and love it. The wheels alone are worth the purchase. I am 200lbs and very agressive. The wheels still turn straight since new.
The DJ III is a good shock. I put it at 10 psi for urban and big drops and set it at 5psi when downhilling. | | Weaknesses: | The hayes HFX-9 levers are ok, but that little 2.5mm adjusting screw is a real pain. The actual tapped hole in the part is too lose. Any vibration in the handle bars backs it out and brings the lever close to the handle bars. | | Similar Products Used: | Was looking at Norco Manik, Oryx DD66, Oryx DD99, | | Bike Setup: | Exactly stock from the factory. | | Bottom Line: | One of the rare bike frames still made in CANADA and it shows. The welds are perfect and pride is shown in the workmanship.
Every thing is oversized and that makes me confident that it will last me for a while. Now I just wish I could make it look new again. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1600.00 | | Strengths: | Solid components where they count: drivetrain (later models come with SRAM X.7 drivetrain, even better), rims. Nice geometry, suitable for aggressive XC, light freeride, urban, etc. | | Weaknesses: | Lots of heavy components (i.e. Tires, rims, fork), DJ3 isn't great for all around riding. | | Similar Products Used: | Considered Norco Sasquatch, Orxy DD66, Kona Stuff, Jamis Komodo | | Bike Setup: | Z1 FR QR20, Azonic Shorty, Club Roost risers, Avid 8" mech discs, Avid SD 2.0 levers | | Bottom Line: | Costs a little more than other bikes mentioned above, but better components and hand welded frame in Canada warrants it.
Stock (~39lbs), the bike is good for urban and decent for freeride. Swap the fork for something better (and lighter), and it'll be better for freeride (~38lbs), and possibly agg. XC. Get lighter tires (Weirwolfs weigh 1350g), save 2+ lbs, and it'll be a better climber and perfect for all around riding (~35.5lbs).
I use it for all around riding, and it fits me great. It didn't take much time at all to get used to the feel of it; it fits me like a glove. It's easy to balance and maneuver.
If you're looking at any of the other bikes I mentioned, seriously consider getting the Hucker because paying the extra is worth it. The parts will be good enough for a beginner to advanced rider so you won't need to make many upgrades. They're selling fast, though, so don't think too long before getting one.

$650.00 | | Purchased At: | Tommy & Lefebvre | | Strengths: | Bombproof frame, stiff, accepts large tires in the rear cool color and graphics, geometry is perfect compromise for all types of riding. | | Weaknesses: | None | | Bike Setup: | Purchased frame only and transfered all my old components. Z1 bomber 5" is great on this frame. I can fit my 2.5 Specialized Evil Twin HC tires no problem. | | Bottom Line: | Here's what this frame can do for you: - xc -> seat post up, it is a fantastic climber. - urban/freeride -> eats up the rough stuff with large tires, confidence inspiring. With the seat down, it's fun in the skate park and on any structure/drop you can find. - downhill -> handles great, fast responsive handling and steering. It is a hardtail and things can get rough back there on rough sections of trail.
I bought this frame 'cause I broke my previous 5" full suspension. Now I'm going for a 2 bike solution, one hardtail and one DH bike. This hardtail brings me back to basics as far as skills are concerned: manuals, pedal hops, landing hucks properly and absorbing with legs, you forget this sometimes with full suspension. This bike does it all and keeps surprising me. I put a Thomson seat post (27.2x410mm) and this provides me with all the seat height settings I need. I love my Devinci Hucker. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
