$1725.00 | | Purchased At: | The Bicycle Outlet | | Strengths: | Great Stock Components! Very strong bike, i-Drive makes the crank stay under you no matter what the rear suspension is doing. This Bike excels at climbing, seems to make it just effortless. Seated pedaling uphill is like walking up the hill without all the strain on the knees. The suspension is completely adjustable front and rear. Both can be locked out to make it a nice street ride for around the neighborhood or cranked up all the way for some large drop offs and serious Down Hill runs. Jumps like a cat and lands like a butterfly. I let my friend ride it and a few weeks later he had one on order. Downhill runs at full speed are a blast it seems like you are floating down the hill, roots and rocks are not even there. Rides like it is on rails and corners so nice, load it up in the turn and it accelerates out of the corner. | | Weaknesses: | A bit on the heavy side but I don't ride XC so I like the extra beef on the DH runs. Crank is a bit creaky but it quiets down after a few minutes into the ride. Came with some Cheezy pedals. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek, Cannondale, Specialized and other GT bikes | | Bike Setup: | Stock except for new Kona Jack$hit Pedals | | Bottom Line: | Great bike, rugged and dependable, never had a problem with it so far. As for the price, I think with the components on this bike it is priced fair, maybe just a bit high but well worth the money. Retail over 3K and I got it for less than 2K. I added up all the components purchased separately and I think I got a bargain. If you can find one buy it! GT Bikes are built very strong, comes from their BMX background but they are built to last. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$3700.00 | | Purchased At: | rosen-meents | | Strengths: | very plush -feels like more then "just" 7", good all around components mix . | | Weaknesses: | the i drive system needed to be lubed after a few rides - the people at the plant "forgot" to grease it and it squeld like a run down cat ... | | Similar Products Used: | ruckus idrive 1.0, mongoose black diamond double | | Bike Setup: | stock beside the el camino i didnt take ( the deore 555 does the same job with no fuss), changed the fork from 36talas 2006 to the 2007 one , SRAM insted of SHIMANO mech | | Bottom Line: | i use this bike for all around- jumps downhill and uphill- i really like what the people in gt has done to this bike -sweeeet ride for the freerider or for any one that likes to pedal hard-downhill or hard . | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
