from portland, or, usa Date Reviewed: December 3, 2002 | | Favorite Trail: | any in the grand valley | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | unbelievable quality and finish. everything. | | Weaknesses: | none. | | Similar Products Used: | many high-end and custom road, mountain and ´cross frames. | | Bike Setup: | dura-ace, columbus muscle fork, various wheels. | | Bottom Line: | best frame i´ve ever had, and there have been some nice ones. ferris is brilliant. my road frame is stiff, supple, fast, fast and fast. the welding is beautiful to look at, but get ready to squint because it is precise and nearly invisible! any custom frame, done right, should feel good, but an anvil really is at the top of the heap in terms of build quality and material. i took the same route many have - from steel, to experiments with aluminum and titanium, then back to steel. my bike, built for my 6´1´´ self, checks in at under 18lbs with race wheels and standard light stuff.
mtb and ´cross frames are on the way. need i say more? | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
