$40.00 | | Strengths: | Easy to install, holds yer load. A good commuter rack. | | Weaknesses: | Rear reflector/blinkie bracket bends easily. Mounting screws vibrate loose, need regular tightening. | | Similar Products Used: | Blackburn MT-1, old Blackburn (?) Expedition | | Bike Setup: | Binachi Volpe | | Bottom Line: | I love racks. I can't understand how anybody using their bike for commuting or errands WOULDN'T have on on their bike. The Blackburn products are pretty good, and can be used in a variety of ways: to hold trunks, panniers, your lock, a 6-pack (though not all at the same time). This and a bungee are all you need.
I haven't tried the Jandt racks, though they're supposed to be higher-end, more suitable for bigger loads for touring. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
