Description:Wolfgard International, Ltd Wolf Gard

Submitted by Anthony Burton a Cross Country Rider from Harrogate
Date Reviewed: October 19, 2005
Favoriate Trail:Yorkshire
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $15.00
Strengths:Does a fine job
Was able to mount onto wishbone seat stay as opposed to seatpost- which gets it closer to tyre, helping its effectivness.
Weaknesses:I glued it into position on one side of the ball joint- as it did tend to drop position when hammering downhill.
Similar Products Used:Tried a crud racegard- but prefer this design.
Bike Setup:Orange Clockwork 98 / Marz MX Comp Eta / XT / LX / Mavic Wheels /Selle Flight Ti etc...
Bottom Line:Looks a bit old school I guess now- but I like it - Has stood time test - takes a knock - WORKS.

Favoriate Trail:All...
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $15.00
Purchased At:Sid's Cycles on 87th st.
Strengths:Tough, stays put, protects your ass and back from water and debris.
Weaknesses:Looks kinda classic.
Similar Products Used:Zefal fenders, venetian blind slat, cardboard.
Bike Setup:96' Yellow Trek 8000 hooked up to the max...
Bottom Line:This product is bombproof, I put it on in rain and it never fails. Although it looks kinda classic, it doesnt look horrible. Tough plastic or composite, that holds up against all types of falls and scrapes, the holding clamp "ball" keeps it on tight and offers infinate adjustment. In closing this product is one of the few I would highly recommend.

Date Reviewed: July 25, 1999
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
Does the job
Bottom Line:Posted this after reading less than glowing reviews of other fenders. The Wolf Gard is wide and curves with an upward flare at the end. Mounts on a universal ball affair. Comes with tube size adaptors. I've been riding it for a year and it works and it's tough. I didn't expect it to be around this long.
Overall Rating:5
