only had the 2006 model for a week (pretty sure the 2007 one is the same except maybe a few changes to spec), been up cwmcarn wales uk testing it, back end feels good, the fox 4.0 shock is good, but only seems to work on the last rebound setting? paid £1800 had £1000 knocked off so good value. all top notch stuff on it, race face cranks are sweet and e13 chainguide is excellent, the hayes caminos are great so far, loads of adjustment, x9 gears are excellent, scott charger 2.5/7 tyres are best ive ever used really grippy, shame you cant buy them! back to the frame, you can adjust the carbon fibre seat tower in 3 positions, high and forward or low and back and somewhere in the middle, also you can change the headtube size to 1.5 inch, you get a spare head tube in the box. also you can change the travel 170 - 240 mm, its great having a bike you can change to your own preference. its great having 10inchs of travel works really well, sprints well too, weighs 46lbs, on to the forks a basic 888 vf2, good external rebound and compression adjustment, but only getting 7 1/4 inch travel, so will have to work out why, maybe too much oil? no preload or air adjustment which is crap as i would like to change the settings there, shame! but if i can get the 8 inchs i wont be moaning, does make you a faster rider ive knocked 20 secs off a 4 min downhill! and thats on the 1st day of testing, will hopefully knock more next time. so in conclusion buy this bike if you want a 10 incher but a 2006 model as you can pick them up for £800 frame only or £1800 for a full bike, well i think i got the last one in the uk, but maybe second hand? eitherwise you gonna have to cough up about £1700 - £2000 for a v10, trek, etc,... nearly forgot the couple of probs i had, the frame was somehow creaking but after investigating there wasnt enough grease in the headset, so bear that in mind, i thought it was the forks! also there was a knocking noise from the shock on the end of the rebound, but i had too much preload on so that fixed that! my mate who has a big hit has decided to buy one after having a go on mine!
