    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Simplicity and ease of maintenance, lightweight, corners great, pedals great with a quality shock (Cane Creek Double Barrel, Fox DHX, ect.), great customer service.
Weaknesses:My only complaint is the cable routing for rear cables lacked keepers on the downtube near the pivot. This allows the cables to slip to either side and can be rubbed. One zip tie fixed this and keepers are added to the '07 Izimu.
Similar Products Used:Specialized Demo 8, Specialized Demo 9, Turner DHR, Iron Horse Sunday, Iron Horse 7.7, Santa Cruz V10, and Santa Cruz VP-Free
Bike Setup:2006 Morewood Izimu (small), Cane Creek Double Barrel, 2006 Fox 40 RC2, Industry 9 Wheelset, Sram X.0 Shifter and Der., Truvative Holzfeller BB, Truvative Holzfeller Cranks, Crank Brother 5050xx
Bottom Line:Morewood claims “the bikes that downhill built” and I believe this to be an accurate description of the Izimu. The bike is everything that you need in a DH bikes without everything that you don’t. It is simple and will keep on the track rather than in the pits. Morewood is a great company that makes an exceptional product I could not be more pleased with the bike.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $2900.00
    Purchased At:MTBR Classifieds Used
    Strengths:Cornering, Lite Weight, Simple Design
    Weaknesses:None that I know of
Similar Products Used:Giant DH Team, Santa Cruz Bullit
Bike Setup:Boxxer World Cup, Sram X.9 Drivetrain, Rhyno Lite/Hadley Wheels, Holfeller Cranks, Cane Creek Double Barrel Rear Shock
Bottom Line:This bike is great. I think it is a great downhill race bike. It is lite, and it corners incredibly well, I think just about as good as my brother's sunday. I don't think it would be the best bike for big drops to flat or anything like that. The single-pivot keeps it simple, but still works great over breaking bumbs. Overall, I think it is a great downhill race bike.

Similar Products Used:223, demo 8, DH mono, sunday

Bottom Line:The bike rocks, nails turns like your mom at 2 in the morning. Honestly though, I really haven't ridden a bicycle this good since like '96, if you are not a big guy like me (140 lbs.) and like a light bike this is the ill-minute you have been waiting for.
