      FavoriteTrail: Killington Mt.
      Duration Product Used: 6 months
Strengths: Extremely stable at high speeds. Corners like its on rails! (Thats cause all of its weight is carried low around the bottom bracket) Feels very light when riding and pedaling. And the finished look of the DH Team is beautiful!
Weaknesses: The stock Manitou 6-way swinger shock started leaking when I was setting the stocks high and low speed adjustments.
Now there is air in the shock which causes it to top out hard, but only sometimes. And the first run I had on the Giant, the Maniou Dorado right fork leg started to leak around were the carbon fiber meets with the upper clamping area of the fork. But this just happened on my very first run with the bike and never happened again after that.
Similar Products Tried: I've tried alot of different DH rigs and nothing feels like the Giant DH Team.
Bike Setup: 2005 Giant DH Team, 6-way swinger, Dorado MRD forks, RaceFace Diabolus cranks & seat post. Funn saddle and Funn fatboy bars. Hope M6 brakes. Ringle hubs with Mavic EX729 rims. Michelin tires. Sram XO drive train.
Bottom Line: I love the Giant DH Team and will run this bike for a long time. The DH Team feels a little taller than most DH rigs, but it handles extremely well at high speeds and blasts though any corner with losing any speed. It tracks the ground well and is smooth in the air and on big landings.
Just remember that the 2005 runs a 12X150 rear hub as the older years DH Teams run a 10X135 rear hub. Also, the DH Team uses a 100mm bottom Bracket!
I would give a 5 for value rating, but with the Manitou shock leaking before the bike is ever riden is a little sad. But thats Manitou's issue, not Giants.

Similar Products Tried: 04 giant dh comp
Bike Setup: stock except for the tyres which are minions
Bottom Line: BUY THIS BIKE, you cant go wrong with this bike
its so good on dh tracks wether slippery, rocky, fast, steep, jumpy, bumpy and just plain old anything.

      Strengths: Fairly light,
      suspension is great
      corners really well

      Weaknesses: could be lighter
Similar Products Tried: Intense M1, Foes Mono
Bike Setup: Chris King headset, Easton monkey light bars, crank bros mag pedals, est stock
Bottom Line: This is a great bike. The bike corners really fast, all the mass is carried low to the ground. The suspension is really balanced and so is the overall bike. The bike jumps really well and it is really stable at high speeds. The bike is a true complete race bike.
