I'm still really afraid the carbon arms are going to snap and im going to land my nuts on the top tube but it hasn't happened yet after countless 4-5 foot drops. IDK if I should be doing this with this crank but ill let you know if it snaps. I actually like this crankset SO much I went out a month later and bought the road version of this crankset for my road bike. | | Bottom Line: | This crankset should remove any worries of losing power transfer. I have nothing but praise for FSA. With as much product as they have, it would be easy for it to be hijacked by money hungry suck-ups. Not the case. I was actually looking to buy the K-force, some $150 MORE, and that these have aluminum tubing connecting the pedal inserts to the spindle seat were what dictated them more suited. This from the company themselves. Incidently, that is the major difference between the two cranksets. The K-Force, I'd say, is race duty only. If you are out rasing hell on the trails with the K-Force, I KNOW you have worries of tweakin' 'em. These pups are good to go for life. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

TruVativ rules on the DH goods though (and maybe the Saint set-up, to some worthy degree). | | Bike Setup: | If I tellya, well, you know. But I will say this, the FRENCH frame I have this set-up on is the frame that is the badassofthebad and it rules on everything this side of near death and these 70mm arms and 22-32-44 mated to a 11-34 cassette will let climbes come easier than any other range and the speed will makes you blind from eye watering ... with your Rudys on! I really like the precision shifts even under really difficult conditions -loads- and the fact that these arms are tough as PHUAQ and do not flex a all, even when you are smashing them with tons of testosterone (430 watts and up). | | Bottom Line: | These cranks are the Bomb and, way to sext for their clothes -as naked as they are in nude carbon. They do show the scrapes and scratches but, that just means you are riding the rough stuff and going where the going gets rough and that's what real mountain biking is really all about anyway. They look great especially if you have the rest of the high-end goodies and especially the FSA bar and seatpost that just are leagues ahead of everything else out there in strength, weight, and performance, and those flat out killer, "I'm too sexy for my clothes" looks. Everytime I pull up on the "bad-bike" everyone either fesses up or gets really quiet because the ride is way bad and is so good lookin' it just PHUAQS THEM UP really bad (I can't tell you how much I love pullin' up on this machine and watching the expression of emotions that arrise from it ... sweeeet it is!) Bottom line ... I'd give a acre of Flamin' Sensi Buds to rate this crankset but since it has to be rated in terms of the good ole' US Standards (doh!), I'll have to settle for a mere FIVE Flamin' Chili Peppers. Now, time to go to Johnny's Garden and kick back a bit before I break out the bad ride and drop the bomb on some un-suspecting wannabes. Got Bud ... We do! (Yea SuperNatural BC ... Not sure about the ISIS version. But My road FSA carbon team issue is ISSIS and never had any problem with the FSA Ti BB. | | Similar Products Used: | Race Face, Shimano. | | Bottom Line: | The FSA Carbon Pro Crankset and FSA Ulitmax TI bottom bracket ISIS did not fit. Quality control issue. Warranty covered the issue, however dealing with 2 different people "Tom" and "Mike" over the last year was enough for me not to ever buy a FSA product again. They were unprofessional, rude, just real jerks about the problem. They played dumb to the whole issue, which several bike shops were well aware this issue and the quality control problem.
Like the product once I got it working, would never give business to FSA again based on the attitude received from 2 different people.
