      Date Reviewed: 10/1/2007 9:43:45 PM
      Duration Product Used: 1 Year
Strengths: The Powerlink, cheap price, performs well.
      Weaknesses: None
Similar Products Tried: Shimano, Sachs, Sedis, Izumi
Bike Setup: 1990 vintage Schwinn KOM S-7 running a 7 speed Shimano cogset
Bottom Line: The Powerlink makes it really easy to remove the chain for cleaning, just squeeze the side plates together and push both link ends inward. The chain performs as well as any other brand I've used.

      Duration Product Used: 3 months
      Price Paid: $15
      Purchased At: lbs
Strengths: Shifts very smooth, looks great, light weight, inexpensive, stiff/reliable feeling, extremely easy to install powerlink
Weaknesses: Powerlink seems to have stuck on
Similar Products Tried: shimano IG 31 Sram PC-48
      Bike Setup: 2004 P2, 2003 Junior T, double track
Bottom Line: I very great chain for the price, comes lubed, and works great out of the box. A great chain that is worth every penny that you pay for it. Made my system shift smoother.

      Strengths: Not sure yet
Weaknesses: This chain locks up with the slightest amount of mud or dirt - never had a chain perform this bad.

      Bike Setup: Cannondale SV1000
      Bottom Line: This one stinks

      Duration Product Used: 6 months
      Price Paid: $15
      Purchased At: friends shop
      Strengths: None!
Weaknesses: New chain is longer more than 1mm in comparison to Shimano chains. It qualifies to exchange in the momment of purchase! Wears off immediately! After 800km it has lenghten another 1mm! This weaknesses apply to 2003 or newer chains made by sram. Those are easy to indentify by SRAM logo printed on. Old pc58 with Sachs logo perform wery well.
      Similar Products Tried: IG90,XTR
Bike Setup: Too much to say... :D
Bottom Line: New pc58 chains are not worth ecen 1$. Don't buy this crap. You can only damage your new drivetrain and loose much money. Find an old pc58 with sachs logo - those are available in some stores. It is better to use Wipperman Connex instead.

      - Tough and did I mention smooth?
      - They come oiled... always a plus
      - Good price
      - oh, I almost forgot... smooth!
      Weaknesses: - None yet

      >No front brake
Bottom Line: Me like! This chain will not let you down and the masterlink will make your life much easier. I ordered a Gusset Single-Speed for my rig and I expect this chain to work fine... Good price too!
