Description:A workhorse mountain cassette. PTFE Teflon coated to offer longer lasting performance and protection. Just like a non-stick fry pan, slick and buttery smooth. 340g 11-32, 9-speed

Date Reviewed: July 19, 2006
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:A bicycle Odyssey
Strengths:After 3 years it still shifts smoother than my Shimano Cassette
Weaknesses:Only available in Black
Similar Products Used:Sram Shimano
Bottom Line:Most cassettes from major makers are all made equal but the addition of teflon not only makes it shift better but mud doesn't stick either.

Favoriate Trail:scotty's
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:price point
Strengths:drilled and ramped, light and teflon coated.
Weaknesses:none so far, how long will the coating last?
Similar Products Used:SRAM/ shimano cassettes
Bike Setup:Norco Bigfoot, Avid BB7, Spinergy Xyclone, Sram x9 trigger/rear drail, SID rockshox, rider, seat, etc...
Bottom Line:This Cog seems as good as any 300 gram cogs, no wear but its early. The effectiveness of lowering the "drag" between chain and cog seems less useful (20/20 hindsight) than the teflon coated chain, but im also not an engineer. Bottom line is the cost of this cassette is much better than the equivilant Sram or shudder shimano price. I would buy it again, but the real jem is the Black lightning chain!

Favoriate Trail:Hartwood
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Teflon Coated, although that wears off really quickly, so none.
Weaknesses:Doesn't allow proper shifting
Similar Products Used:Shimano XT, LX
Bike Setup:Giant VT2
Bottom Line:Well, I bought this thinking I'd try something new. Big mistake. It has skipped gears since the day I bought it. Don't waste yer money.
Value Rating:1Overall Rating:1
