| Bottom Line: | I got these pads to quiet a squeal i had in the rear with my Hope Mono Mini and these pads did the trick. However no matter how hot i got the stock pads i have never experienced fade. With these ebc greens i can make them fade if i drag them for 1/3 mile on a steep hill. I am a front bias braker so its not a big deal but i would never use them on the front caliper. |

| Bottom Line: | i bought a set for the front and rear brakes. ont he end of the first trail 2 pads ripped completely off the metal backing making me crash big time on a technical bit of trail. the front pads didnt even last a week of solid riding, nothing but black dust left. dont buy this peice of junk, they are not only a pathetic product but they are truly dangerous. |

| Bottom Line: | Do not use EBC pads under any circumstances, I had one pad wear down completely and damage my rear rotor. If maybe your looking for a lawsuit cause you were injured when you coudn't stop and you need some money from EBC then try them. |

| Bottom Line: | EBC has a real problem on their hands. Any brake pad that fails suddenly and leaves the rider without brakes is dangerous. Newly installed, the Green compound brake pads crushed into a fine black powder in the first two stops. Luckily, I was on flat ground when this failure occurred. This sudden failure slightly damaged the front rotor as the metal backing on the unit press into it. Speedgoat said they have experienced this problem and is offering free replacements on their dime. They also went on to say EBC is not responding to their request. This is the same story Hope gave me and went on to point out they no longer sell EBC. I suggest there should be an official recall for any EBC pad (any shops selling EBC should take note). I’ll stay with Fibrax and new Hope brake pads for the Mini. Hope is selling their new pads for a very reasonable $15 and I can say they work even better then the originals (which is saying a lot!). Bottom line: beware, stay away from EBC pads. |

| Bottom Line: | The old addage "You get what you pay for is TRUE!" These pads wouldn't grip to save my life. Like someone below says you can't get them to lock up on wet pavement!! But the Bottom Line is they are cheap pieces of junk they wore out in 5 rides. I rode on the stock Magura disc pads for a year and a half with no problems. An asbsolute rip off and piece of Junk. Elliot Spitzer ought to shut EBC down cause their ripping people off. Absolutely read all the reviews and dont waste your money. |

| Bottom Line: | I can't figure it out. I realigned the caliper as per Avid's instructions when I installed the pads, and less than ten hard stops from 25-30mph later, one pad was fine and the other was half gone. The disc was coated with iron filings from the metallic porton of the pad material, and the inside pad was ripped to pieces. Maybe I screwed up, maybe Avid discs tear up fiber pads, but I DO know I won't buy these again; they were WAAAAY too soft for hard duty. |

| Bottom Line: | These are complete junk!!!! They are the lowest quality cycling product I have EVER purchased. First the packaging sucks... you have to stretch and bend the shrink-wrap off and that ends up bending the little springs. Then the springs - they do not even install them for you. You have to put them on yourself and they are all bent up trying to get them out of the packing. I ended up using the springs off my old brakes because theirs did not fit tightly. The construction is crap…the back of the brakes did not fit flush against the pistons because they had extra braking matter sticking out the back. I had to file them down. The once you get them on they brake like you have mashed potatoes on your wheels. And they never get better or break in like most pads. Do not waste your $$$$! |

| Bottom Line: | This product is great I have them on a crappy formula caliper mechanical MD-1... The Factory pads sucked on the formula. The green pads work great and do not fad or pulse or wear too fast. Actually the are great! Only took 2-3 rides to break them in. If you guys go through brakes that fast you might want to have a pro put them in for you or check your bike for safety concerns. It's obvious that something must be wrong with the installation method? But I'm sure you guys would find something wrong with the Avids too! I am totally satisfied with my purchase and think many of the reviewers here have other problems i.e. (Don't know what they are doing when working on bikes.) Have fun spending more and more money on the high priced "look at me" name brand stuff. I'll stick with the cheap useless and unsafe EBC Greenies! Stay Safe and have Fun! Loosers~ |

| Bottom Line: | I bought these pads to replace the fork oil contaminated :) OE pads on my 2001 Avid mech. discs. I know EBC makes some decent automotive pads so I figured these would be good. They have poor stopping power, don't break in and for some reason mine wore unevenly. After just a week of use they were significantly worn. EBC definitely did not do much R&D on these things. Stay away from these and get some Kool-Stop (KS-D260) pads. They seem as good or better than the Avid pads, break in very quickly and cost less. They do have a little less pad material tho. |

I think I'm going to try the Gold pads next time and stick with the reds in the front. The plus is they are $5-$6 cheaper than avid pads. I would stick with the avid pads, or try the ebc reds. |

If you have to guarantee that you will never see mud to run these, then that confines them to only using in mid summer. Otherwise in the UK and France, there is sometimes mud. And I kid you not, two rides.....they were just "dripping" goo down the disc on every ride, pad and grime just running down the disc and dripping on the floor! Given the size of disc pads, you can't make them so damn soft!! They are bordering on unsafe in anything other than dry conditions. |

It was a wet and muddy race, and everyone with Avid discs were complaining about pad wear, but at least they still had brakes. Good thing I left my original half worm out Avid pads in the front or I would have had no brakes at all during the last downhill! When I returned them, the LBS sent them back and was told by the distributer that it was "normal wear". If that's normal wear... |
