Favoriate Trail:Red Bull
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $250.00
Purchased At:Chain Reaction
Strengths:Beautifully machined caliper and lever. Very good performance when set up correctly. Front brake has worked without fault or any maintenance.
Weaknesses:Rear brake lever has suffered from a leaking resevoir cap, a leaking piston in the lever which has resulted in bleeding brake after most rides. Currently awaiting the spare parts from Hope (replaced with no questions asked, Hope have even offered to reapair the lever if I send it to them )
Similar Products Used:Magura Clara, Coda expert
Bike Setup:Caad 4, Lefty, XT, Race Face
Bottom Line:If only the rear didnt leak...
These are great brakes, they look the best, are better value than Hayes or XT in the UK at least.
Customer service from has been very good.
Would give them a 5 if it wasnt for the leaking!
Would suit cross country with a smaller disc, but has the power for downhill with the larger 185 or 200mm discs.

Purchased At:www.sjscycles.com
Strengths:Light, high quality, low maintainance.
Weaknesses:Brake levers ratle slightly
Similar Products Used:Formula B4, Shimano XT, Hope C2, Shimano Deore, Hope Enduro 4, Hayes.
Bike Setup:753 Handbuilt Renolyds frame, XTR gears, RS Duke Race, X-lite handlebars, Thompson Stem and Post, Pro-link carbon saddle.
Bottom Line:Quality brakes from a British manufacturer main reason for purchase was the small disc avalible for the back enabling reduced buzz on my steel frame when braking. No spacers were required when used with RS forks and Shimano XT hubs. Possibly the new standard for XC disc brakes
