I need some info to set these up properly), very stiff! | | Weaknesses: | No website I can find. Maybe I have last year's levers, as I had to do the grip/everything removal dance to install them, but that is fairly normal. | | Similar Products Used: | Power tools (tektro? KHS house brand- I don't know why I rode with these so long), diacompe, lee chi, LX, etc. | | Bike Setup: | KHS comp softail, Manitou Xvert tripleclamp, basically a frankenbike. | | Bottom Line: | These levers really cleaned up the un-modulatable braking from the powertools KHS system which came with the bike.
Braking suddenly became fully modulateable, powertool brake arms saving themselves from the parts bin.
I was very happy with this choice, which was an impulse buy due to th colour. They are not the lightest, (same as powertools), and are a bit bulky, but I will probably be hospitalised if I break them; they may be the last levers I ever buy based on the construction. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |

Date Reviewed: June 11, 2002 | | Favoriate Trail: | Narby! | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | came with bike | | Strengths: | stiff, strong, don't have to take the grips off to mount, the "torque twist" thing is cool, they look mad, and there's just an air of "this is the SH1T" from them. | | Weaknesses: | the levers are a little square compared to say Avids, but it's not annoying or anything.... so i guess it doesn't really count as a weakness. | | Similar Products Used: | Avid various, Shimano various, Tektro etc, most hydro levers | | Bike Setup: | Norco VPS Atomik, stock except for XT rear derailleur, XT rear hub, and IRC Kujo 2.35s | | Bottom Line: | These levers are good. maybe not quite as comfy as Avids, but i have no reason to want to change them. they're nice and stiff, and you get the feeling that all the power you put in is being transmitted to the brakes rather than soaked up in flex.
