      Duration Product Used: 1 Year
      Price Paid: $7
Strengths: Ultra stiff and light, improve brake performance significantly, look good, ultra low price... Can't ask for more!
      Weaknesses: None...
Bike Setup: Manitou SXR-00, Cane creek ad-12 shock (nice suspension combo), Shimano LX derailers, Shimano Deore crankset and levers/shifters, Avid SD-7 brake, Shimano XT hubs, Continental Explorer front and Twister rear, FSA orbit XL-II headset, Race face lowriser handlebars, Koski 4 bolt stem...
Bottom Line: Work very well, low price, look good!

      FavoriteTrail: trials n urban
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
      Price Paid: $15
      Purchased At: cycle path
Strengths: This is a great brake booster - only 15.00 CND and it reduces flex significantly. Without the booster, my chromo norco mountaineer frame flexed about 3 mm in each direction; with the booster, there is no visible flex. Another strength is that it has that little screw on the side to adjust laterally.
      Weaknesses: nil
      Similar Products Tried: nil
Bike Setup: 2002 norco mountaineer 18". cheap chromo bike (the stays are high tensile) that i temporarily use until i can get a planetX.
Bottom Line: this is a great product - its cheap and it works very well. If you're lookin for a booster, buy this one.

      Purchased At: Spokes and Attire
Strengths: Light, narley colors, strong, does its job and then some, cheap
      Weaknesses: uhhhh.... weaknesses?
      Similar Products Tried: Salsa, Shimano
Bike Setup: Specialized sworks m2pro, sid SL, XTR-XT setup
blackspire bashring, trace braces back n front
Bottom Line: Want a cheaper alternative to those carborn fiber bad boys and burley boosters ont he market -- go with a good ol' trace booster!
Whether you're into trials, XC, or light FR, then go out n buy this cheapo pieace of aluminum, n u wont hav ne worries till it dies... which wont happen! (did that make sense???)
well anyways, go out NOW, and buy one!

Bike Setup: crap Supercycle MBX 1000 $200.00 bike w/monty fork---but today I got a Trek Bruiser 1 w/optional TruVativ Hussefelts!
Bottom Line: In one year of riding, I have progressed incredibly, and I owe a lot to this brake booster. It was really inexpensive and my stays didn't flex at all after I installed this. I won't buy another booster for a long time!
      Seriously, everyone should buy this!

      Similar Products Tried: Tektro, AC
      Bike Setup: '97 TREK Y11
Bottom Line: Looks good, works well, doesn't interfere with the feel of the brake at all. Just as effective as the heavier, uglier AC booster I had on before. In fact, I managed to snap a brake post off with the extra force this baby exerts. Bonus was it was fairly inexpensive - about $25 CDN.

      Duration Product Used: 3 months
      Strengths: Cheap Light
Weaknesses: Flexxxy, under built for any uper end breaks
Similar Products Tried: the trace worked alright with my XTR's but still flexed, and under my avids its like it isn't even there
Bike Setup: RM Element Sram 9.0sl, Raceface Turbines, BB, Headset, XY post, Avid Arch Supreems, Marzocchi Z1QR20 Sun Rhyno Lights
Bottom Line: This is a good arch if you only have a marginal problem with frame flex under breaking. The RM element has a chronic flex in the seat stay (very disapointing) especially under the presure of Arch supremes this break booster barley made a dent. I give it 5 for value it was only $20 CDN and 3 for flexing when they could have left a little more beef on it.

      Bike Setup: kona chute
      Bomber Jr.T
      XTR levers with LX brakes
Bottom Line: This is a great product, it was worth the money (not like it was much), I would recommend this to anyone who owns V-brakes. I only had one problem when installing, if you run shimano brakes with parallel push you will need some washers to lift up the booster so your brakes will work. The booster puts pressure on the parallel push arm and it won't move. So just get about 3 washers for each side and it will work great.

      Strengths: strong

      Magura
Bike Setup: The TRACE is on my V brake equipped steel hardtail
Bottom Line: It's not a biomedical implant nor does it have a chi chi logo embossed on it so it doesn't cost $40-$40,000. However, it works, it hasn't failed in over a year of hard offroad riding and it has a pleasing look to it.Keith Bontrager said you can't have all three if you want cheap, light, and durable but this might be the exception. For that they get the big five flaming triple-coilers with the DQ twist.
