from Atascadero, CA, USA Date Reviewed: March 24, 2008 | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Price Paid: |
$175.00 | | Purchased At: | Sunstorm Cyclery (out of business) | | Strengths: | Locks, anti sway bar | | Weaknesses: | Bicycle has a tendency to work its way out of the clamp if not tightly clamped down on bicycle bar. | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | Giant OCR1 Road Bicycle | | Bottom Line: | Not a bad bicycle rack. It locks which is a plus. I bungee cord the top as a safety, just in case the bicycle works its way out of the clap. You have to make sure it is tightly secure. The bottom mount has a strap to safely secure your wheels and keeps the bicycle from swaying while driving.
I have the two bicycle model. If only carrying one bicycle, I use a piece of PVC pipe for the other bike opening for the clamp to work properly.
