Description:GIant ATX-990

Submitted by Tony Ratcliffe a Weekend Warrior from Aylesbury,Bucks,UK
Date Reviewed: August 15, 2001
Favoriate Trail:Wendover woods
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $1250.00
Strengths:A simple design that works! Quite light and able to be kitted out for whatever you want. First used as trail / cross country with SPD's Judy's & 3 1/2" rear c/o Noleen. Now with Z1,s risers & 4 1/2" rear travel as Freeride. Hope discs next.
Weaknesses:Basic bushings, Weak standard spring. Original 63mm front travel was a mismatch.
Similar Products Used:GT LTS. Kona Cone
Bike Setup:Z1 QR20's 110mm, 26" bars, Noleen NR1 650lb spring & Goldtec LT plates.
Bottom Line:Still one of the best from the late 90's. Still alive & kicking. Becoming a retro DH rig.
