from gilliam, MO USA Date Reviewed: February 2, 2002 | | Favoriate Trail: | landahl trail | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Price Paid: |
$12.00 | | Purchased At: | performance website | | Strengths: | comfortable shape, larger size fits my hand better. room for more than one grip position. good clamp design, does not slip on handlebar. larger curve on end is less apt to get hooked on trees on tight trails. | | Weaknesses: | some may complain about the weight, although that doesn't bother me. they do look a little funny on your bar because they are so big. | | Similar Products Used: | azonic bar ends. | | Bike Setup: | fisher hardtail, flat 5 degree 580mm bar. | | Bottom Line: | these are good bar ends, especially if you have larger hands. very reasonable price on them, too. flat bars and bar ends seem to be going out of style on mountain bikes, but they still have their place in tight woods riding and hillclimbing. if you are a weight weenie, you probably won't like these. at 230#, the last thing i am worried about is 30 extra grams of weight. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
