Description:The new Banshee Wraith, available only as a complete bike, represents the best value all mountain freeride bike on the market today. Designed with our proven 4 bar suspension system, the new Banshee Wraith is a classic all mountain freeride bike. The Wraith chassis reflects our now famous big bike freeride machines, yet it is much lighter and quicker. The Wraith’s component selection is loaded with the best names in the industry for a strong and light build. With 5 plush inches of coil sprung rear suspension, the Wraith gobbles up high speed stutter bumps and the progressive suspension geometry resists bottom out, even on bigger hits and drops. The legendary pedal ability of our rear suspension system efficiently delivers your power to the ground without energy sucking frame flex and pedal bob.

$3000.00 | | Strengths: | Style, Feeling, Wheels, Price | | Weaknesses: | Fork, Paintjob | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized Stumpjumper M3. Fitbike, Scott Gambler | | Bike Setup: | Original, exept for: Seat, Seatpost, Bars, Pedals, Fork | | Bottom Line: | Great Bike for anyone who wants something light and tuff. I ride it like Hell and it's still in takt, exept for the paintjob, that is liable to peeling (;-(. Otherwise I would recomend to change the fork. It makes a strong bike weak and gives it a nasty feel. I've put a Rock Shocks Pike 426 U_turn on it, and it's great. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Port Hope, Canada Date Reviewed: March 15, 2007 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | Nearly indestructable, with a well balanced feel, now that I've switched some parts around. | | Weaknesses: | A little heavy for just trail riding. The Black fork on the 2006 threw the bike off balance, and took away from its great feel when outfitted with a better fork. | | Similar Products Used: | Banshee Chaparral, Giant AC, Specialized Enduro FSR | | Bike Setup: | Silver Wraith, HopeXC/321wheels, Minute 1, KingHeadSet, Deus Cranks, SRAM drivetrain, FOXcoilover shock. | | Bottom Line: | I loved my Chaparral for its versatility, but when moving back to Ontario, I needed something a bit lighter, but with the great feel of a Banshee, so the Wraith fit the bill. With a lighter SPV fork like a Minute, this bike shines. Moreover, with a travel adjust range from 100mm - 130mm (and above if possible), then this bike can play double duty. Set up right, it is definitely light enough for trail riding, but burly enough for bigger stuff. Due to the 4-bar linkage, the bike won't respond as well as an FSR design when on the breaks, but there is also no flex at all in the frame. A very forgiving bike, with lots of potential. Looks great, well balanced, and will last for years. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$900.00 | | Strengths: | looks great, strong frame, very very agile and fast on singletracks , 10 years warranty | | Weaknesses: | paint is weak ,weight , price as a complete bike | | Similar Products Used: | idrive 5 | | Bike Setup: | rp3 z1 fr eta etc | | Bottom Line: | I have this bike for a year now. I bought only the frame from a friend so all the parts are diferent from the original bike. In the trails this bike is really nice, except for giant drops you can do anything, but the real fun is on singletracks, jumps and drops (3 to 5 ft), it has increased my riding level and i`m still improving. The downside, the weight when climbing, i can take it but with 5 inches in the back it could be lighter specially if you start looking other bikes in the present, a lot of them are lighter and have more travel. Also a Banshee problem, the paint is very weak, in rainny days i always arrived home with some new scraches, but in the present it doesn`t bother me anymore. So if you`re searching a strong and reliable frame, with agile geo, and don`t want more than 5 inches welcome to the Banshee club. The 5 chilis for value only applies in my case, if i bought it as a complete bike i would give it 4. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
