Description:Inspired by our huge "backyard", Pisgah National Forest, this frame's adjustable travel (4", 5" or 6") has the ability to adapt to the variety of technical terrain found on the many miles of trails in the forest. The frame can handle epic cross county rides one day and then the travel can be positioned for hours of freeriding bliss. If it's a day of downhill excitement your after, then setup the full 6 inches of travel and bomb away.

Favoriate Trail:itz all good.
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $750.00
Purchased At:Backcountry Outdoors
Strengths:Solid frame design. Clean welds. Active and plush suspension (part frame and part the sweet Manitou Evolver shock). 4, 5, and 6 inch travel options. Tried and proven frame design (just look @ Kona, Turner, Cove, and Trek; all with very similar 4-bar linkage). No frills; just a solid frame.
Weaknesses:Plain asthetics. Could use more color options and mabey a decal or two to represent the Harvey Cycle pride. The plain Jane take may be an attraction for some so I will leave this weakness to be decided. Other than that no weaknesses so far!

Bike Setup:-18inch PNF frame w/Manitou Evolver SPV shock
-Manitou Nixon Elite fork
-Bombshell wheels w/IRC rubber
-Shimono XT rear and LX front transmission
-Titec El Norte bar and stem
-Thomson Elite seatpost w/WTB saddle
-Truvative Husselfelt Crankset on a FSA downhill BB and Crankbrothers Mallet pedals
Bottom Line:Only had this rig on a few rides thus far but I have to say that the frame is pretty sick. It handles nasty tech single track of Pisgah and it blasts through the wide open flow trails of Cullowhee. The four bar linkage is sweet and responds like a full on squishy bike should.
Have not taken this rig up any serious climbs but the short climbs that I have had it on have not been a problem; especially for a 6&6 bike that is set to shred.
Have not had alot of air time on this set up yet but it is fairly nimble in the air. I am still getting used to the set up but the little flights I have piloted it on have been smooth sailing. It feels light in the air and hips with an agility that is almost as quick as a street/DJ hardtail.
If you are looking for a solid bike that won't break the bank then Harvey Cycles are it. No flashy name, plain looks, and a great shop to buy from (Backcountry Outdoors in Brevard, NC), and great dude to buy from (Harvey: the man behind the Harvey Cycles). If you live for the desents but still like to earn your adrenaline fix then take a look at the PNF. It climbs well and rips down the mountain with confidence and plush suspension.
Will definatly post a follow up review after I put this rig the the paces a bit more. As of now no complaints and I am stoked be riding it!

Favoriate Trail:Wathen, Timber, Maxwell, Foothills
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $1800.00
Purchased At:Harveycycles.com
Strengths:Frame weighs less than Turner-RFX. At home on rocky, rooty singletrack. Flow or no flow, the PNF feels dialed 99.9% of the time. Very light front end makes wheelies and drops feel natural and effortless. Excellent set up for "aggressive XC" and "light freeride". Set the front and back to 4" and yer' ready for 4X and DS.
Weaknesses:None in almost 2 years!!! At 200 lbs, there's something to be said for that.
Similar Products Used:3 Raleigh hardtails and tested GT I-Drive 5.
Bike Setup:Manitou Nixon Elite (adjustable), Manitou 4way swinger, Titec Elnorte bar+stem, Raceface seatpost, Raceface DH crankset, Sun Rynolite 36 hole wheelset, All Sram X9, Sram cassette+chain, WTB saddle, Azonic flat pedals, Kenda Nevegals 2.35, and no more slime! I run Maxxis Highroller 2.1s for days with lots of climbs and general XC. Even the 6" settings work stellar in every riding style. But to switch back to 4" front and back, only takes a couple of minutes. The fork that comes on the PNF is adjustable on the trail with the turn of a knob on the top left side. Super easy and it really works. EVERYTHING works and works well.
Bottom Line:While my riding style doesn't include 10' hucks to flat, all the 3-4 footers come out just fine. With a relatively light front end, manuals and wheelie drops are a breeze. It also forces you to shift some weight up front when railing loose-over-hardpack at warp speed.
The PNF can be a great bike for anyone and everyone. You can easily shave off about 3.5 pounds from stock. Or you can just swap tires and feel like you shaved off 10 pounds, yet still have a dependable rig worthy of casing jumps and slamming head first into trees. Titec "Knock Rated"? Believe it! Like DH but can't see yourself spending the fat cash on a pushbike? Want to ride epic XC for days and days? Want to get into racing ANY discipline of MTB? DH, XC, 4X? Want to feel like yer' floating over some of the raddest terrain you've ever seen? Want to order a mountain bike the way you want it. Want to call up the guy that built your bike and have customer care you've previously only dreamed about? Look no further than HarveyCycles and the PNF. A 4-5-6" model that can truly DO IT ALL. And for less than $2000! Can't get these components on a 6" bike anywhere for that. Anywhere except HarveyCycles.com that is.
Alright all, Ride With Style! I'm out!

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1800.00
Purchased At:Harveycycles.com
Strengths:With only a month actually on the PNF, I'll leave the strenghts "to be decided" for a second reveiw in another few months. I only know that the PNF performs beautifully on rocky, rooty singletrack with 1-2ft drops. The biggest strength so far has been Harvey himself. You can not buy from a nicer guy. By purchasing a "complete bike", I was able to pick the components that best suited my riding style and shipping was very fast. He's always just a call or type away and ready to answer any and all questions I had before purchase and after. I can't comment enough on what a great experience Harveycycles has been. I had lots of frames to choose from and picked the 4-5-6" PNF. What a great choice. Great bike, great price, great customer care!

Bottom Line:Great bike at a great price from a great guy. No regrets! It's very nice to sit down and order a bike the way you want it without spending tons of cash. I will post more of a review soon.
