Date Reviewed: August 1, 2006
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $2800.00
Purchased At:Direct from Orange
Strengths:Lightweight, excellent build quality, flows through single track, climbs well, excellent brakes.
Weaknesses:Bit of setting up bother on rear shock, stem seems a bit short but turns so well i'll leave it. Cheapo Headset.
Similar Products Used:N/A
Bike Setup:Standard five pro with the Hope brake option
Bottom Line:Excellent product, great value for money. Nothing major to moan about. I may try a longer stem and see what it does and it will definitely get a better quality headset. Long may the love affair continue.

Date Reviewed: July 27, 2005
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $2800.00
Purchased At:Orange Factory
Strengths:Frame is stiff enough for me and light enough to help me keep climbing, and descend as fast as you like.
Good stock parts - full xt dual control, hope hubs.
Weaknesses:As always was the case - ritchey headset - pure cheap $hite. Why did Orange ver buy such poor parts.
Similar Products Used:Orange Evo 2, Kona Chute 99
Bike Setup:Hope headset, EA70 bars, XC Pro tyres, XT Cassette and TA Rings.
Bottom Line:This bike is a supreme lightweight cross country babe. Too lightweight for free riding though up in the Austrian Alps - I have the scars to show for this. But hey - you live and learn.
I got hold of this for one and a hlaf grand direct from the factory, so value for money is sky high.

Favorite Trail:full 9 yards in snow....
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $3400.00
Purchased At:mountain trax
Strengths:Singletrack, downhill, uphill, very solid bike, planted feel in all conditions, truly awesome. Excellent trail bike/allrounder.
Weaknesses:Chainsuck in middle ring, other than that have not found any. Not the lightest - but who cares when it rides this good.
Bike Setup:Fox 100R forks, Manitou Swinger shock, hope headset, Monkeylite carbon, Raceface post, Matt Holywell Green (the best colour), Hope Mini Monos.
Bottom Line:Fantastic all day bike, hit it with anything you choose it comes back for more, flys through singletrack like no bike i have ridden. Test rode this bike once before being sold on full suss for 1st time, Hope brakes are awesome.
