from Demorest, GA Date Reviewed: January 27, 2004 | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Price Paid: |
$1250.00 | | Purchased At: | lbs | | Strengths: | Very plush, good component mix for the price, pro-pedal shock, adjustable geometry, @ 28.5lb size S. | | Weaknesses: | Hutchinson scorpions don't do anything well. Wheels are heavy enough for a 400lb. man. | | Bike Setup: | stock except for veloceraptors with Stan's no-tubes. | | Bottom Line: | I bought this bike for my wife who is a beginner. Being able to slacken the geometry and, at the same time, lower the bottom bracket allows for a setup that makes her feel very secure. As she improves, I adjust the geometry gradually steeper (she doesn't know) and she becomes a better climber which boosts her confidence even more. Experienced women won't need to upgrade much beyond wheels and tires. Inexperienced women will love the adjustability. Guys looking to get thier wife/girlfriend into mtn biking have the answer right here. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
