Submitted by Craig a Weekend Warrior from Melbourne, Australia
    Date Reviewed: July 27, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Purchased At:Brunswick St Cycles
Strengths:I only got out on this for the first time today. Frame is nice and tight and with the XTR groupset it just rocks! Price is pretty good considering full XTR components. XTR Shifters!!! You need these on your bike full stop!
Weaknesses:None so far but I'll update if anything goes wrong.
Similar Products Used:None owned but Tested Specialized Epic, Santa Cruz Blur, Cannondale Rush 2. These were nice bikes but didn't talk to me like this bike did.
Bike Setup:Stock - Full XTR, Fox Front and Rear, Mavic Rims, Ritchey Carbon Bar and Stem
Bottom Line:Well I got to use this bike for the first time today. Man this is such a sweet bike. It climbs like a demon. Rocky and rooty stuff was a breeze and a huge improvement over my hardtail. I have not had a chance to to give much of a downhill run yet so I will update this when I have. Can I say that the XTR shifters are the best I have ever used. Such a slick and smooth motion. I had tried about 8 bikes before settling on this and the others just didn't work for me. I am not a great rider but this bike definitely inspired a hell of a lot more confidence in me and I was doing things that I baulked at in the past. It's a personal thing but if you are in market for a strong All mountain/ XC bike then this is definitely worth a test ride.
