Very Fast Great Grips in Dry Great Rear Tire Looks Cool
|
| Weaknesses: |
Not good in wet Expensive(relatively) |
| Similar Products Tried: |
Rampage, ExiWolf, SB8, ACX, XR, Nano, etc. |
| Bike Setup: |
Haro Mary SS |
| Bottom Line: |
These tires are great for dry, but if you are regularly in wet conditions, you may want to look elsewhere. The tire has great bite in dry, accelerates and holdds speed, and is in general a great dry tire. |

I love Geax tires, have used several on my 26ers with great results. this tire bring that great geax performance to the 29er world. just bought a set for my Soma Juice ss. I am hooked. bike junkie in bethpage,ny has the best prices for these and just about everything else. |

| Strengths: |
Great volume, low rolling resistance, outstanding construction, wears very well, seals up easily with Stans, clears sandy type mud well |
| Weaknesses: |
Because it wears well, it'll suffer a little in loose over hard b/c the rubber compound is a little hard, doesn't clear tacky mud well. |
| Similar Products Tried: |
Maxxis Crossmark 29", WTB WeirWolf 2.55LT 29", Maxxis Ignitor 29" |
| Bike Setup: |
Astrix Rook, Hope Pro2 hubs, Stans Flow rims, XTR derailleur, Truvativ FireX crank, 34T chainring, set up 1x6 |
| Bottom Line: |
This is a great tire. It's flaw comes in loose over rough as the tread is not deep enough to penetrate but for most conditions, very solid performer. I've used it both on the front and the back. On the back, in the traction direction, great out of the seat traction with minimal loss of braking traction. Up front, in the speed direction, great tracking and rolling.
I ran this mainly in the back, paired with a WeirWolf 2.55 LT up front this summer and enjoyed that combination. Currently running it up front with a Crossmark out back and can't complain either.
As long as your terrain doesn't require a more significant tread bite like the Rampage would offer, this will work great for you. |

My fave tire, no complaints |

| Bottom Line: |
Hook up well in corners, and skid predictably as well. Confidence inspiring. Big tire for only 600 something grams. Local trails at the moment are smooth firm moist dirt where just about anything works great, but I liked em just as well in this summer's sand. Sealed up perfectly first shot with Stan's...love that stuff! |
