Date Reviewed: February 27, 2008
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:jensonusa.com
Strengths:Study construction, good damping, and looks good.
Weaknesses:No compression adjustment
Similar Products Used:Marzocchi's Rockshox, Manitou
Bike Setup:Mongoose XR-850 with Sigma, Shimano Deore group, Bombshell wheels, Truvativ Firex cranks, WTB Mutanoraptor 2.4's
Bottom Line:First of all, I am reviewing a 2001.

Good fork, I got mine far below original price (paid 300; msrp 1,500). I loved how underrated this fork is. Its far better than most of the top name forks, but doesn't get any credit. The fork never bottomed out, even on 8' drops to flat, and always had smooth rebound action, off drops, or reacting to small stutter bumps. Stiffness is phenomenal, torsionally, and under braking. Some nice, but small details: The rubber boots are great, they resist tearing and seal out dirt and grime nicely; The uppers are anodized and extremely scratch resistant; integrated stem is stiff, easy to adjust and doesn't pinch bars unevenly. The only possible downfall is the lack of a compression adjustment, which I personally didn't miss, because the damping was spot on for me and my riding.

Strengths:very cool looking fork, massive, very sensitive,.....
Weaknesses:its from RST
Similar Products Used:Manitou Dorado, Marzocchi Shiver
Bike Setup:Norco Atomik with Fox dhx 3.0 in the rear and the Sigma in the front.
Bottom Line:The Sigma is a cool Fork, unfortunatly everyone think its not good because its from RST.
But it is as good as a Shiver IMHO.
And its very cheap for what you get!
