    Date Reviewed: March 19, 2008
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Purchased At:Rev. Bikes
Strengths:Easier to setup than previous marzocchi marathon forks. only two air chambers compared to the three they had on the 2006 model. Remote is also a nice touch.
Weaknesses:Remote doesnt come setup properly out of the box, not a problem with the fork, just the remote engaging with the cable length they give you.
Similar Products Used:2006 Marzocchi Marathon (their highest end one)
    2003 Fox F100x
Bike Setup:2008 Rocky Mountain Element Team, stock.
Bottom Line:Remote requires a certain amount of throw to engage the locking mechanism on the remote, so locking issues out of the box were not the forks fault. One of those out of the box "wtf" situations. The top of the fork near the Lockout also seems to leak if you flip the fork over (not a lot, but enough that it gets on your hands when fixing the remote lockout cable). Not sure if this is because of the fork being new, or if it's just the nature of the fork. Also be ware cable fray on the remote lock out when resizing the lockout cable that comes a little too long. Once you cut the stock end of the cable getting it around the top of the lockout cap causes it to fray. Finding a new cable, impossible...I had to call marzocchi and tell them how to take apart their own remote. Even then they didnt have a clue. Only after 10min did I realize he was taking apart an older style remote. They just sent me the old model remotes cable, so here is to hoping. No local bike shop recognizes the cable. A really weak design if you ask me.
