      FavoriteTrail: lackawanna state park
      Duration Product Used: 6 months
      Purchased At: warranty replacement
Strengths: plush, stiction free travel, doesn't leak any oil, very adjustable to suit riding styles,
Weaknesses: doesn't like cold weather, harsh riding when cold outside, can be hard to dial in, IT valve and cable can get water in them and freeze causing valve to stick open,
Similar Products Tried: fox talas, manitou minute 3
      Bike Setup: ventana x-5
Bottom Line: this is an update on an earlier review...after fork broke in it is very plush and works well after you dial in the spv and main air settings..my only complaint is when riding in temps below freezing the fork seems pretty harsh which is probably due to the oil being too high a viscosity..and also i had water get into the IT valve which caused it to stick open on a ride and had the fork constantly drifting down...but to be fair i suppose most people won't be riding in those temperatures..and if they do a lighter oil would probably correct that problem..the water got into the valve through a cracked IT cable housing...again if i had taken care of that it wouldn't have happened...bottom line is i am well satisfied with this fork...so far there is no play in the bushings and it doesn't leak a drop of oil...it seems to work the best with the rebound dampening backed off all the way and with only about 40psi in the spv chamber and 100psi in the main air chamber...very plush and responsive over technical terain...

      FavoriteTrail: LWC Helltrack
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
      Price Paid: $450
      Purchased At: Manitou
      Strengths: IT, strength, lightweight, versatility
Weaknesses: If you are use to the ability to set travel at specific levels(80mm, 100mm, 120mm, etc), IT may seem awkward.
use of SPV(for me, anyway), no lockout.
Similar Products Tried: Rock Shox Pike U-Turn, Marzocchi AM SL-1
Bike Setup: Avent Arson, Swinger 4-way
Bottom Line: I've only been riding this fork for a couple weeks, but it seems flawless in stability and performance. I like the IT, but it would be cool to have a clickable adjustment that would click in increments as well for more exact travel measurement. Great for all mountain, slalom, or whatever. Killer fork!!

      Duration Product Used: 3 months
      Purchased At: factory replacement
      Strengths: IT adjustment works well
      doesn't leak oil
Weaknesses: when spv is set up according to directions small bump sensitivity is a little harsh...
when cold (below 32) spv valve makes a klunking noise like there is not enough air in the chamber...feels like you have a loose head set...this seems to go away after the fork has enough brake in time on it...
Similar Products Tried: 2006 manitou minute 4
      fox talas
      Bike Setup: ventana x-5
Bottom Line: i got this fork as a warranty replacement (free) for a minute 4 that i sent back to the factory after about 10 months of use (kudos to manitou)...it has an extra 10mm of travel than the minute 4...it took a little while to break it in but now it seems to be getting better...it just doesn't seem as plush as the talas even with the spv set at the minimum setting...but i suppose thats the way the spv works...the IT works great and the rebound and other adjustments also...i noticed on manitou's web page they show this fork with a through-axle but mine came with a quick release which is what my old fork was...not sure if this fork is available with a quick release skewer of if they built up mine special...anyway, their customer service is excellant in my opinion and they stand behind their product...since i don't have a lot of time on this fork the jury is still out on the final verdict..right now its working good and i'll post another review later on...
