Strengths: very plush on trail, Rebound adjustable while riding, lightweight, pretty stiff

Bottom Line: I like! best deal for marathonisti, I guess, but has nothing on a Pike (110mm) concerning downhill matters.

      Duration Product Used: 6 months
Strengths: Pretty plush for what it is intended to be - light, short travel fork. Look cool
Weaknesses: Bobs a fair bit. more than other forks. The seals dont last at all
      Similar Products Tried: SIDs
      Bike Setup: Anthem 1
Bottom Line: These forks are decent but I would not get them again. They dont feel any more plush than my SIDs and bob considerably more. They may be a bit stiffer but I am a lightweight (60kg) and don't really have an issue with flex in the SIDs. May be worth it for a bigger rider.

The seals really annoy me. I had the SIDs for 3 years and did nothing to them despite heaps of riding (up to 20rhs a week). Now doing less riding and seals started to leak early on, after probably 50hrs of use, so have to replace them, and change the oil. Others I know with Fox forks have had the same issue, so its not a once off.

These forks are realy nice to ride but I think other forks feel as good and do other aspects better, such as a more stable pedalling platform, weight, durability. Next time will be looking at Reba, SID and R7.

      Date Reviewed: 4/2/2007 12:39:15 PM
      Duration Product Used: 6 months
      Price Paid: $550
Strengths: Everything a fork should be: stiff, light, plush, adjustable
      Weaknesses: none so far
Similar Products Tried: reba, lots of other fox's, judy, mxc
      Bike Setup: steel singlespeed
Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this fork to anyone looking for a good mix of stiffness, plushness, and adjust ability. Absolutely no problems after 6 months of riding aggressively. Lockout w/ blowout threshold is an excellent feature that works as advertised.
