Apparently, this fork, and a few others, are MADE IN TAIWAN. This may have to o with the fact that this fork has issues, that overall makes it ride terrible.
It rides rough. It seems to take medium bumps by traveling 1-2 inches, and then stopping. It doesn't go much further, even when adjusted, but take a big hit/drop, and it does go further, but feels hard, too hard, and at that rebounds poorly, either slow, or fast, but no adjustment can make it feel right, and it affects the dampning. its either "bouncy" or "muddy". muddy is a very very good word fo this fork, thats what it feels like, jumping a rigid fork into mud.
I can't figure out what is really wrong with this fork, it just doesn't have that smooth, progressive feeling the Z1s have. It acts like your are abusing it, it really does, like someone is going to tell me i'm being to rough on it, or its not "made to take that kind of hit". It just doesn't feel right on small or big jumps,or hits, and its heavy. The full travel can't be used, without setting it to bottom out all the time.
those who give this fork a good review are most likley new to the type of riding this fork is for, or haven't tried a Z1 drop off 2, which is better in every way, despite it not having a rebound adjustment. The dirt jumper 2 is made in italy, I would like to see if it is any better.

if they are topping out (clunking on rebound) add some more rebound damping and it will not clunk.

I have Down hilled my 07 stuff heaps and i am normally at the front of the pack. I have done 2m drops to flat super technical sections and they never miss a beat. I like my fork quite hard and i love the thru axle and the rebound and air assist and all of the ajustments that the fork has! I have ridden up to a ski field so prob 10k in one go, i have done one and a half hours straight downhill on this fork and i have never had a problem or felt them flex or any thing at all. i cross countried this beast and all you need is a set of legs and big lungs and you sweet. | | Weaknesses: | It just makes an annoying top out thunk when the top out spring is engaged which is nothing bad just when i was new i thought the fork was broken lol otherwise apart from the weight which isn't that bad and you don't even notice the fork is the top one out there | | Similar Products Used: | strength wise 888, rc40's bombers.. but i tried pretty much every fork apart from weight weeni ones and 08's | | Bike Setup: | '07 Stuff. I'm glad that's sorted out.
Well, I have had them for 10 months now, and they are still going as strong as when i bought them for £160. The only thing you need to do to keep them working sweet is wipe the stanchions down after every ride like it says in the manual, and occasionally put silicone spray on them.
I run no air in my forks, which is not a problem as they are coil but AIR ASSISTED. Generally I run the rebound about in the middle of the two extremes and the forks work beautifully. They never bottom out nor top out and they seem very plush. If you want them a little harder, all you need to do is put some more air in them with a shock pump.
Overall, very good forks that i would recommend to anyone who needs some new dirt jump forks. Why buy anything more expensive when these are so good so cheap? BUY BUY BUY! | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |

Mines a little different from the one in the pic for the review cuz it has qr dropouts and some other differents
I figure mines must be between the normal dj3 and the dj2 like the dj3.5 to the dj 4 and dj3.
