Bottom Line:
excellent fork; it allows you to carve singletrack, switchbacks and take hard corners without fear of ANY repercussions. Handles drops nicely, more dh than a freeride fork. i like the hex setup. 5 screws is alot, i know. But, it handles well because of it, and if i'm hitting drops fast, i want security, and the hex setup deffinately offers that.
don't believe the hype. i go out once a week, and have never had a seal blown. Manitou's are solid, especially if you are in a rocky terrain.

Strengths:
Long fork, excellent travel, 28 click pre-load, amazing rebound, nice control(20mm thru is the only way to go), aesthetic.
Weaknesses:
rebound adjustment is on the lower leg. i suppose some would complain about weight, but if you're getting a dual crowned fork this should not be too much of a concern for you.
Excellent fork for those of you that bomb down rocky hills. With this fork's rebound taken all the way down, i roll over rocks with out any resistance.
I have to be honest i do not take 10 Ft. drops, or race in competition.
But, if it creates any kind of precedent use the ROAM video as a potential refference. alot of the people riding in it are rocking a Travis.

Price, plush at frist. Thats about it.
Weaknesses:
where do i start its super tall (cause of the clearance for the reverse crown thing) its sticky. ytou have to flip it for at least 5 mins before you ride just to get the oil to lube the fork which is lame. sactions are crap mine are chipping away. and thats not cool
it took a while to break in than it was sweet for like a month or so. than after some races and some pretty good size drops it has got super sticky and the shop has checked it and it has oil and the seals are still good and we have tryed everything trick we have to keep it going but the fork is toast after 6 months and so now im buying a boxxer team for it like i should of in the frist place. i hate travis's

looks awesome, great feel, like the person below said endless travel feel. It also handles really well. Its also well priced but you get world cup performance. just an all around awesome fork.

A little bit on the heavy side but thats no biggie

Eeeeendlesssss travel feel; Plush and Simple. No leaks, no stripped threads.Bolt it up and go.
Weaknesses:
Don't like the axle set up much, you're gonna need a tool to set it up securely anyway. Took a while to bed in.

Fox 40 on my downhill bike - Fox 40 is better but way more focussed. Boxxer on my trans-downhill bike - Boxxer has more flex.

Intense Uzzi VPX. Fox coiled rear. Saint brakes etc
Bottom Line:
For the money, this is a real world fork without the $$$$ and narrow focus of the Fox 40. Buy it if you want a solid fork with comfort and real world useage.
