    Date Reviewed: March 5, 2008
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $500.00
Purchased At:new on UK ebay, £250
Strengths:Stunning fork in any aspect - as usual from Marzocchi.
Feel, look and reliability can not be beaten.
    Weaknesses:weak-less
Similar Products Used:Manitou Sherman Brakeout Plus - total rip off compared to Marzocchi.
    Other Z1's - always excellent
Bottom Line:There is not much to say, these are basically a fantastic forks.
Good for any type of riding but you will really appreciate marzocchi's quality if you give them a hard time on some downhill sections and big drops - they handle like a dream, no flex and bottomless.
If you f*** up landing they will help you to stay on the bike.
ETA lock-down system is great for anyone who prefers uphill on the bike rather than pushing it, also good for tarmac sections.
I would recommend this fork to anyone who is into hardcore riding.
I had other Z1's in the past and they last for years without maintenance.
    Spot-on Marzocchi, another wicked fork!

    Date Reviewed: October 5, 2006
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $405.00
Strengths:SMOOTH, SMOOTH, SMOOTH. Works great at 130mm and 150mm. Great adjustability.
    Weaknesses:The Z-1 has no weakness
Similar Products Used:Maverick DUC-32, Fox 36, Fox Vanilla, Pike
Bike Setup:Foes FXR with Ti sprung curnut in rear.
Bottom Line:This is the sweetest fork I have ever riden. Two of my freinds bought this fork after they road mine. It gets smoother every ride. It took about tens minutes to adjust it the way I like it and I havn't touched it since. Before this my 2004 Z150 was my favorite fork. The Z1 sport is sweeter and lighter. I am amazed at how plush and active this fork is in any situation. The best all around fork ever. The fox, maverick, and pike are junk compared to the Marzocchi. They stick, leak, and are flat out crap. They also are not near as plush. If you are an xc rider who likes inactive linear crap, this fork is not for you. For everyone else, spend the money. It is a Marzocchi, it will last forever. You can easily adjust it to any riding style. This fork will never let you down.
