Strengths:
the fork is strong enough to do more than dirt jump and has a great air pressure adjustment system.
Weaknesses:
rebound adjustments are had to change
Similar Products Used:
dirt jumper 2
Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
one of the best forks i have ever used and can be used for light freeride and xc if set up properly. again the rebound adjustments are a bit hard to change but i've only wanted to change it once. nothing has gone wrong wif the fork in my time and i still recon it's a great fork.

Very strong, absorbs weight nicely, looks cool all blacked out
Weaknesses:
Kinda heavy, warning labels very hard to take off lol.

Bottom Line:
Pretty sweet for Dj's, Urban and some light freeride. I have yet to see how it takes a good trail ride. I would reccommend this fork for anybody into Djs and Urban but if you've got cash there are lots of others out there.

Strengths:
perfect function without gimmicks: Extra solid, which makes it super confidence infusing when 220 lbs and using a formula disc with 20cm rotor.
Weaknesses:
rather heavy, but bothers much less than to be suspected (own two other hardtails, one rather light (TREK 9900 OCLV). This one makes most fun, the TREK may be faster
Similar Products Used:
Many a Marzocchi, some Manitou (2001 X-Vert Suoer hmmm!!)
Bike Setup:
Hot Chili Zymotic Hardtail, full 1998 XTR
Bottom Line:
Had some problems with rust on the stem, because I drive the whole winter, much salt, water in the frame. Zzze acid test for a steel stem I would say. But it nearly ruined my Chris King Threadless. Cosmic Sports change the CroMoly Stem to a Alu Freeride One, for only 90 bucks, within a week. That's super service; i'd say. When you can compare your drive engines regularly, you are much more aware of difference. The lighter bikes are much fun, to be sure, but when it goes to hard ride, there is nothing like a VERY solid and stable setup. The one compromise I do not accept is a heavy, high resistenace tyre. I stay with no-tubes, Michelin or Schwalbe Racing Ralphs or Nobby Nics.

Strengths:
20mm thru axle, springs are pretty tough even without air, and air helps stiffen up travel 2, and they finally made this forks a bit lighter
Weaknesses:
when air is in it has too much rebound, cant adjust rebound, little adjustablity, kinda expensive in after market
Similar Products Used:
dirt jam pro and comp and older dirt jumpers
Bike Setup:
kona cowan stock
Bottom Line:
the fork is bomproof asimple design and take a beating without breaking and doesnt require a lot of attention or maintaince kinda expensive but worth a try for dirt jumpers freeriders and street riders

Bottom Line:
Use it for heavy xc. A bit heavy for that purpose, but very solid, stiff, perfect function, right amount of travel (100mm, but you can change progression by air support). Only complaint is the bad paint job. Paint chips easily off. But what of it. Very recommended for heavy guys. And for those like me, who have a really light bike for a change.

Strengths:
its cheap and pretty strong but im still worried about the crown, as with all dirtjumpers of the past i suspect this one will also crack after about 6months
Weaknesses:
stil kinda heavy but its what i expect of a dj fork but it does feel considrably lighter than the old dj3s which iv played on, but that may be the bike i was on too :s
Similar Products Used:
dj1s from 04 to 06, dj3s from 03 to 05, fox36rc van (kinda similar), fox36rc talas (again kinda similar), zocchi drop offs 05, zocchi shivers 03 to 05.
Bike Setup:
that bike was a identity dr jekyll with 24" halo sas wheels, 9spd xt rear mech and shifter, gusset pigmy cranks, fsa pig extream headset, dmr alloy wingbars and headstock stem, hope mono mini fnr break.
Bottom Line:
nice fork but i wouldnt buy it personally but its great for buget dj. if you have the pennies get a dj1. plz note this fork is lame for 4x, dh and serious freeriders for 4x you have to get something lighter, dh somthing that can take the constant pouding and longer travel for freeriders. fox 36 talas (travel wound down to 110mm approx) was great for 4x. zocchi 06 888 is the dh fork to have and the 36 van is the freeride fork.

this fork feels really nice, I love the red adjuster caps on the top. I just got this fork today to replace my 2006 Marzocchi Dirtjam comp, it came on my 06 shred. I this fork inspires confidence. very happy with it. feels good going over jumps and takes trannys well.
it feels a lot better than previous DJII forks.
Weaknesses:
I kinda wish it had travel adjust as my other option was the pike. but thats asking a little much. but the only real complaint is that ... the price went up. I was able to pick up a 2005 for $250.00 I put it on my P.1 ....
Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:
2006 Kona shred, stock ecept the DJIII and lockon grips.
Bottom Line:
I dont think this fork is for everyone. if you are into urban, jumping and lobbing your bike over anything that comes your way, then get it. shop around first, I perferred the way the manitou stance static felt over this fork, but this fork is a whole lot stronger and a lot nicer.
if you are into XC, trials of downhill ...dont get it .... I took this fork to the local freeride park, it was kinda harsh. but thats only my opinion.
