Got it fixed (the shop had to send the unit back to Germany!) and it is working fine now. Have used it for a year or so on some long trails and have not had any problems. No loss of air pressure. Ride quality is not noticeably different to the original Fatty innards, rebound adjustment doesn't seem to do much, but then maybe that's just me and the way I ride.... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$300.00 | | Purchased At: | Evans Cycles, London | | Strengths: | All-in-one sealed unit promises to be more reliable... Adjustable lockout mechanism. 2 year warranty. | | Weaknesses: | All-in-one sealed unit means you can't service it yourself... | | Similar Products Used: | Cannondale Super Fatty Headshok | | Bike Setup: | Scalpel, Shimano XT/XTR G'set/brakes, DT Swiss wheels | | Bottom Line: | It broke! I got this as a replacement for the original Cannondale headshok that came with the bike. This broke after a year or so of riding when water got in an corroded the air cartridge. The Magura CCS looks like it should be better, but mine broke on my first big ride out. The air cartridge sprung a serious leak and I had to ride the forks locked-out for the 2nd half of the ride. For the time that it was working it seemed good. Has gone back to shop for warranty repair - watch this space..... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
