Duration Product Used:

Strengths:
Light 3.2 lbs - No leaks. oil or air - Extremely adjustable (air)- Plush but can take a hit - Inexpensive.
Weaknesses:
Dives occationally when braking hard for a turn on down hills.
Similar Products Used:
Manitou Black and Axel
Bike Setup:
Worcycle frame (subcontracter for Giant), RST omega Air fork, Cane Creek Cloud 9 air Shock, Tektro IO Disc brakes
Bottom Line:
I am reviewing the RST Omega Air Fork. I have been pleasantly supprised with the performance of this fork. It came stock on my bike and i thought i would upgrade after the first problem it gave me, but it hasn't had any yet! My sister and wife both have this fork on their bikes also with out any problems. I've heard a lot of bad things about RST (the walmart crap), but some of their upper forks are pretty good performer for people on a budget. With this fork it is critical that you have the air pressure dialed in ( I weigh 160 and run it right at 90 lbs)With to little air it dives alot and is unpredictable. With to much it can be very harsh, but when it is dialed in, man it is a nice ride. For what i use it for ( X/C and moderate down hill with drop offs no bigger then 2-3 feet) it's a great fork. Bottom line, would i buy it again... In a heart beat.

The oil cartridge is leaking oil.
Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:
Megamo Fun, no supension fitted on origin.
Bottom Line:
The oil cartridge is leaking oil, so finally you are only on rubbers. You see that you do not have any more oil when the lock stops working. I have got the oil cartridge once replaced (under warranty) and now is again on the shop for a second replacement.

Strengths:
Extremely strong, can take bigs hits. I weigh 190, and put it on a old Kona Hahanna as a weekend, trash all the traiks bike. This shock and strong Kona frame takes all sorts of abuse and keeps coming back for more.
Weaknesses:
Leaks, and lock out works erratically. Adjusting the shock makes no difference to it.
Bottom Line:
Cheap and basic shock that allowed the old Kona to get seriuos again - used to have a Project 2 on the bike. I am a road racer and just wanted to join my MTB friends, and for a few bucks this shock does the job!

Bottom Line:
In first month evrythin was O.K., until i hit the road for real. After one "downhill" , if i can call it like that, the springs just broke, and became very noisy. You can hear the noise on tarmac and feel the oscillations inside. If you aks me if I woul'd purchase this product again, i wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

I really like the lockout that mine has, and so far it seems strong. Its a little bit heavy but thats ok.
Weaknesses:
It likes to leak grease.
Similar Products Used:
RST gila t5+, and it was crappy. The first one came w/ one bushing, the second blew out from riding DOWN a curb. The omega i recieved was free because of my warranty
Bike Setup:
2005 specialized hardrock sport disc with fat road tires and lots of crap strapped to the frame.
Bottom Line:
I have not fully broken my shock in yet but it seems to be doing well so far. I would reccomend it to any folks who take occasional ruts and bumps.
