Strengths:THE FRAME IS EXCELLENT!
Weaknesses:cranks came loose and were heavy and looked like cat food., stem slipped even when very very tight. headset bolt snapped.
Similar Products Used:my first Haro.
Bike Setup:I have changed on the bike:
Seat:WeThePeople Rotton seat.
Cranks:Sealed Salt Beyond cranks.
Forks:Blank Breakless forks.
Back Wheel:Blank 11t cassette with new alex supra-g rim.
Sproket:Blank 28teeth.
Stem:Salt stem.
Lever:Tech 77 lever.
Pedals:Drive pedals.
Grips:Edwin Delerosa signiture grips.
Seat Clamp:Snafu Phat seatclamp.
Tyres: Rear:Primo "The Wall" . Front:Primo "V-monster".
Bottom Line:I have kept the frame beacuse it has been strong and excellent and it has been brilliant for the type of riding i give it.

Overall, i think it was worth making the bike even better beacase of the frame.

All the rest of the stuff was ok but in my opinion , i needed a change...to make it more freestyle.

People who want to buy a good starting bmx should get this beacuse it has all you really need to become a better rider...3Pc cranks...clamp-on stem...

but if you have or want to become an amazing freetyle bmxer then to suit nowadays, you need to buy some replacements for this great product.

Bike Setup:No front brakes, chopped bars to make shorter/lighter,eventually 3 peice crank,Maxxis Holy roller tires, cut seat post.
Bottom Line:The bike is great for all riders and is very dependable. Like i said B4 i got mine in 2002 but its an O3 an ive only changed tubes and one tire. Ive ridden a lot of different bikes some over $600 but i still stick with the old f3. Also it is a little heavy but its not that bad with the pegs off but I still rock the pegs on the right side because im just now starting to learn to grind. Very good bike for the preice i ride with people that have over 400 dollars into there bikes or they paid a lot more for them and im just as good if not betterwith a $230 bike if ur a beginner or u r already into bmx and u want a good dependable bike for a cheap price go with the F3

Favoriate Trail:local roads
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $230.00
Purchased At:Spoke 'n Sport
Strengths:Great beginner bike, strong frame, good components like the 3 pc crank, gyro, and cross-brakes. It's taken quite a beating from me 5'10" 220 lbs; the only repair I've had to make is a bent rim from catching a curb during a bunny-hop
Weaknesses:The weight is pretty heavy, probably due to the frame stregnth, I loosened up the crank and the chain pretty good, warped the rear tire doing a 360 bunny-hop, grips are pretty thrashed (but that's expected if you're going at it!), stock brake pads suck so those got swapped prett quick, rim quality is ok, not the best; if you're gonna be rough on them buy better ones to beat up, they won't fail as fast
Similar Products Used:Redline, OG Huffy
Bike Setup:stock +sticky brake pads
Bottom Line:This bike is good to get your stregnth up to par for those nasty street/dirt tricks, if Haro made a tank this would be it. GREAT BEGINNER/LEARNING BIKE!

Strengths:great starter bike. had a lot of fun on it. tires are very nice for all purpose. crank works well. bearings unbelievably nice. stem is light. frame is very strong. pegs are nice and slick. brake work nice
Weaknesses:a little heavy. sprocket heavy and easy to bend. bars easy to strip. rims easy to bend and heavy. crank arms really heavy.
Bike Setup:Standard lil duece bars. Standard top load stem. Haro F3 frame. Haro straight shooter fork. Profile BMX 3 peice crank 175mm. TH Power Pro Aheadset 1-1/8. Haro Core Grip. Haro SOHC seat clamp. Standard M5 43t sprocket. Haro LHD hub. Haro peg. Primo peg. alex supra j rims. kmc heavy duty chain. poverty sofa seat. haro steel 25.4mm seat post dia comp tech 77 brake lever. odesssey brake cable. tektro u brakes.

Bottom Line:An overall great bike for the price. good for starters. I learned a lot of neat stuff on the bike. a couple flaws but not a whole lot. frame is extremely strong. I dont even have a single dent on it and i beat the heck out of the bike in the past year. if your thinking a bout getting started in BMX I would srtrongely suggest to star out with this bike.

Favoriate Trail:Beacon Hill
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:Spoken'Sport
Strengths:Maneuverable. Good tread and handle grips. Coasts easily, as long as the rims are in good shape. The braking is alright.
Weaknesses:Haro could have made it lighter. The stem and headset should be replaced. Needs better rims.
Similar Products Used:Mosh, GT, RedLine, DiamondBack, K2, Specialized...
Bike Setup:Stock.
Bottom Line:Experienced riders and inexperienced riders alike will find a mutual experience on this bike. It is easy to abuse. It's good if you are doing $200 worth of street riding. It's terrible if you are doing $200 worth of park-riding, dirt-jumping, or ramping.

That is unless you upgrade your parts, in which case the money might as well be saved for a better bike.

Strengths:Unfreakinbaleevable I love this bike. there is a couple faults but there isn't a perfect bike so far. Three piece crank is a good new feature.
Weaknesses:Im upgrading the rims and the sproket
AND IF HARO IS READING THIS, BLACK PAINT ON THE RIMS DOES NOT MAKE FOR GOOD BRAKING ONCE IT GETS WET. Barends suck and the tires arent wonderful, but other than the rims, sproket, barends, and tires its a pretty sturdy rig.

Date Reviewed: March 11, 2005
Favoriate Trail:Anywhere and everywhere
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $230.00
Purchased At:Bike Source
Strengths:This bike is a very solid well-built freestyle bike. I've had NOTHING break in the entire year that I've ridden this bike. I jump this bike, do street with it, crash it, and try new things on it constantly, (except crashing, that I don't do constantly) and it has held up extremely well. Rims are strong, frame is definetly strong, bars are cromo, 3-peice cranks are cromo, and many other things are built to take some abuse.
Weaknesses:The only thing that I can think of that would be this bikes problem would probably be its weight. I mean, 34 pounds isn't to heavy, but when you're just getting into freestyle it's hard to do tricks with a heavier bike. But when you practice on a heavier bike, and then migrate over to a lighter one you've already built up ALOT of strength and balance since you've practiced on a heavier bike when you first started, and it is alot easier in the end when you make that switch. (If you ever need to) Also, the stock brakes on this bike aren't the best. They put these on it to keep the cost down but they work fine for me because I know how to fine-tune them. The stock brake pads are crud, I replaced the rear ones for better traction. But, as long as you have some mechanical knowledge, and like to work on your bike, the brakes should work just fine for you. I'd just suggest replacing the cruddy brake pads. But, like I said before, I've never broken a thing on this bike, so besides that fact that it's a tad heavy, and the brakes aren't that great stock I can't thing of one other weakness.
Similar Products Used:I've never used another freestyle bike, this is my first and only freestyle bike owned. But there are others that are very similar.
Bike Setup:Everything is stock except the crankset, pedals, grips, rear brake pads, and chain tensonors. I replaced the stock crankset with some Redline Moster cranks, because they're stronger and I like them more. Also the stock forged crankset was unsealed and quite heavy. This bike did not come with chain tensonors, I've added those. I changed the grips because my hands are small and I wanted thinner grips. And I got new brake pads because the stock ones aren't that great. I replaced the stock pedals because those are some of the cheapest pedals on the market, and like the brake system they added them to keep the cost down. They didn't grip very well and for some odd reason they made them very small, so after long rides my feet sometimes got cramps. I replaced them with some Odyssey Jim C.'s, which are 100% better, are a heck of alot stronger, and grip sooo much better than the old stock ones did. But or else, everything has worked perfectly fine for me.
Bottom Line:This is a great starter bike that will last you at least a couple of years. Some of the stock parts my not suit eveybodys fancy, but as with every stock bike you'll eventually end up either replacing them because the parts broke, or because you didn't like them. Also the price is definetly a winner because this isn't a very expensive bike for what you're getting. As always, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR! So if you want quality it's going to cost you more but will end up being so much better for you in the long run. But if you don't care about quality, you can cut some corners and buy one of them cheap department store bikes that will break down on you in a few months. So, like I said, this is a great starter bike and if you're looking to get into bmx freestyle I'd suggest this bike to start you off.

Bottom Line:Its an awesome bike for starting out on. I wouldnt recomend it to a more experienced rider. its a little heavy but learning on a heavy bike can be a good thing. I had a little trouble with the stem and found that it loosened easily but it wasnt anything some strength couldnt fix. The weight is 35.6 lb and is very noticeable. the tires that come stock arent all that great and only go up to 65psi. I prefer a higher psi but its all about personal preference. Overall, its an awesome begginer bike that i would recomend to sombody whos just starting out.
